Why being ghosted so painful?

I got ghosted and it’s the worst pain I’ve ever felt

It's a long slow rejection leaving the ghosted to wonder if the ghost is dead, busy, or simply lost interest without explanation. It's rude and immature, not to mention cowardly. I think it's better to just buck up and say, "Yeah, this just isn't going to work for me. Have a nice life!" At least you would know immediately.

The plus side here is you avoided a relationship with a train wreck.
