Around 35 years ago, I had a buddy named Josh in graduate school who dated a woman named Celeste. She looked a bit like Morticia Addams but with slightly bugged-out eyes. She owned snakes.

So, whenever we were talking to him about her, we'd say her name like "Sssssssssscceleste".

This question reminds me of the famous episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" involving "The Frog Woman of Massapequa".

It wouldn't bother me. I like snakes. When I was a kid, I had some as pets - a California king, a keeled green snake, and a Mexican water snake.

I wouldn't be pleased if she had a poisonous snake. And really large pythons like in the photo are kind of a strange fetish.

As long as she takes good care of them.

Ideally these creatures should be in the wild rather than being kept as pets but as long as it isn't an anaconda, king cobra, viper, taipan or other snakes that one should know better than keeping them as a pet.

Used to date a girl that kept a 9ft long burmese python, saved me the trouble from needing to dispose of any of the mice or rodents I caught at my home as she would happily help me take it to her place.

yes those pythons are very loving , I've had many. used to sleep with them. ( of cause when my bitch was not there, somehow I only had one gal in all my life who liked animals, rest hated them) very sad.

Yeah. It’s not a pet I would choose to have myself. But I know people who have pet snakes and they never freaked me out or anything, they’re cool lol.  So I don’t think I would care

I would but I find it difficult to really count it as a pet.  I understand it is a pet but it just feels more like an animal you keep and feed rather then something like a cat or dog.
