For sure! I also have a pet snake and I love all kinds of animals (except for cats because I’m terribly allergic to them, they’re still cute tho!). My snake is the least intrusive pet I have, she just chills in her enclosure, doesn’t make any noise, only poops 1-2x a month and eats every 1 or 2 weeks.
I also feed my snakes frozen mice/rats, that were humanely put down in a CO2 chamber. It’s not much different from us eating frozen meat/chicken.
Heck yes, I want a pet snake but I have commitment issues
Well , I suppose if I didn't have to handle them..
Gee , I had a dream last night that I had a pet snake and in the dream it really obeyed all I said and everyone was shocked by this bond , but I was still pretty scared of it , it was brown / black.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t. But I’m not saying I would either.
LOL.

I cannot stand the site of a cute little white mouse being sucked into a ugly snake while it suffocates the poor little thing and eates it while it's still alive.
I saw that only once in my life when I was young and to this day that was the most horrible thing I've ever seen.
@wolfcat87 I did a post about this because I feed my snake live mice for two reasons
1. snakes are hunters and they like food that puts up a fight
2. It gives the mice an opportunity to get away
@AnusNdaPainus I get what snakes want. The snakes aren't an issue at all. The idea of deciding one life is worth more than another and sacrificing someone else's life for my personal entertainment of having a snake really doesn't sit well with me. A mouse has very little chance in an enclosure, and they'll just be killed later.
@wolfcat87 if the enclosure is my house I don’t see a problem because a hungry snake is gonna hunt the mouse and the mouse has ample opportunity to make an escape
Some creatures are too dumb to live
This is why dodo birds went extinct
@AnusNdaPainus Mice are pretty intelligent and easy to train. Snakes aren't.
@wolfcat87 snakes are highly intelligent but their intelligence is unique to the way the hunt and lure prey
They have 5 forms of movement, heat sensors and can smell with their tongues they are natural born killers made for ambushing and subduing it’s meals
@wolfcat87 most people feed them frozen/thawed prey items though. The place where I get my rats from euthanize their rats in a CO2 chamber then flash freeze them after, I just gotta thaw them out to feed my noodle. It’s not much different from the meat in our freezer. I don’t think feeding live is fair for the rats because they don’t get the chance to escape from the snake’s enclosure, plus it can also be dangerous for the snake. Most snakes are timid and kinda dumb, they might end up getting chewed up by the rat 😅
FUCK YEAH. gimme those scaly cuddles!
I have one myself. I adore the sensation of them, apparently they can be really good for people with autism too sometimes. :D
Sure, I live for 4 years with snakes, lizards, frogs and so on :D can take care of them and feed
I lived*
I'm not incredibly fearful of snakes unless I know they're venomous. But I probably would not date someone with a pet snake. They tend to have a personality type that isn't compatible as a partner, but I wouldn't mind having a friend with a pet snake
Depends. If the snakes are small enough to eat spiders then yes. Otherwise it would be a problem.
Also I have and would want a cat. Historycally cats and snakes are hot friends.
I love snakes they’re adorable
I’ve had pet snakes , spiders and an amoeba
Yes. A guy with huge anaconda... no, not entirely what you mean. If one day I decide to get rid of him, the snake will get a 90kg heavy meal.
I like snakes but I'm not big on them kept in captivity. Not saying it would be a deal breaker but I'd have to talk to her about it.
Sure. My husband had pet snakes when we were dating, and his family raised and sold them until about a year ago.
I'm not sure, probably not, but for turf right person I'd put it behind me (my fear)
Only if the snake isn't named Nagini. :-D
Yes, that is not one of my deal breakers, to say the least.
No. I mean nothing against them but the choice of your pet says a lot about your personality. We just wouldn't vibe. I like cat people.
I don't judge people but I saw lot of people are saying yes are mostly from Europe or North America. If this question was asked to people of Australia or India you would get BIG NO for the Answer.
Yeah, that would be awesome. My dad is deathly afraid of snakes so I am not allowed to get one 😔
As long as they aren't poisonous snakes there is no reason not to
Sure. Have had a couple of buddies that kept snakes over the years, and knew a belly dancer that had a gorgeous python she would dance with, she wasn’t bad either… 😉😂
yes. I have one so it would be weird of me for that to be a deal breaker
I wouldn’t mind dating a woman who has a pet snake. Snakes are actually pretty cool. Some are dangerous and some are safe.
Better than a dog or cat but I generally don't believe in keeping pets.
