How do I give hints to a guy so he knows that I want him to ask me out for prom? I know he is interested in me but he is a taurus, so he's shy?

Bring up the topic of prom. Say your friends seem to be talking about it all the time. Ask him his thoughts on prom. What does he feel it is like? What would be reasons people would or would not go. If he's negative about prom, dig a little deeper. Let him know you'd like to understand what leads him to believe what he believes. If he shows interest, let him know you'd like to go, but you don't trust the guys who have shown interest. Say you'd only go with someone like him, and then see what his response is. If you open the door, and he doesn't enter, he's probably not comfortable with social encounters... especially big ones, like prom. Maybe he'd be open to something more low key. Be respectful of his feelings, and don't apply any pressure. Hopefully, the two of you will find a safe way to connect.
