Why do guys call themselves a single dad but their kid (s) love with the mom?

Single dad means you are a single full time dad. It’s so disappointing meeting a great guy that says he’s a single dad and then find out he isn’t even doing the work.

I would definitely agree if the dad is deadbeat but just because the kid doesn’t live with their dad doesn’t make him less of a father if he’s active in the kids life and trying. Shared custody exists you know, and 9/10 courts make it so hard for dads to gain even that, full custody is even worse. I commend the guy for being transparent about have a kid or kids, it would be shit if he didn’t even acknowledge that part of his life. This is coming from a woman dating a dad.

Because generally the dads are still paying for thier care. I mean if he's not a single dad then she's not really a single mom. She's a nanny.

A sperm doner paying child support is not justified as a father. All the moms I know don’t receive any child support

Agreed. With your first point. To your second point I say, "it doesn't sound like all the women you know are very smart women". These women CHOSE these men.
