Honestly I am lol in fact I’ve tried multiple times to give it a chance and I’ve never gotten past the talking phase. It doesn’t take long for my subconscious to kick in and I’m reminded of how fucked up dating is these days and what I been through so I opt out. 😂

dating has been rigged from the start the moment different rules were applied to different people who participate in the game. men must undergo capitalism and compete for women whereas women can enjoy socialism (at least movements like the feminist body positivity/fat acceptance movement aims to do)

most men are willing to give women they date the same equality of opportunity as that of other women. usually a man can figure out whether a woman is wife material or she is simply pump and dump material but the equal chances to prove themselves is there

women on the other hand play the rules of alpha fux beta bux where they'll gladly have hookups and ONS with hot guys who can skip over the dating process while average guys must take them out on expensive dates and spoil them to prove their loyalty despite the hot guys never needing to jump through hoops like this. ugly guys are just told to fuck off

there's nothing wrong with competition as long as the rules are fair from the start and there's equality of opportunity or at the very least don't lie about the rules being fair to begin with in the first place. a lot of dudes learn this the hard way knowing they weren't meant to succeed due to factors outside of their control

due to this phenomenon, it's easy to see why dating is fucked up. why jump through hoops for something that could very well not be worth it in the end? sometimes men who get past the dating phase into the marriage phase get blindsided by divorce later on in life so in the end it wasn't worth it for them either

Dating is more trouble than it's worth. It seems like when I do find someone that I think is worth the time, they seem like a decent person, and then a few weeks pass, and they disappoint me. I don't know what it is, but I seem to get stuck with the cheaters, liars, and racist ones.

Sometimes I think friends with benefits is better. No attachments. If they lie, no big deal, and no broken hearts. Just good sex and no need to try hard at anything! I do miss relationships sometimes though. ::Sighs:: C'est' La Vie.

Depends what you mean by "closed off". I give the same energy I'm given. If she's unwilling to match that then the relationship dies. I don't consider that closed off. But if others do, that's fine.
