After rejecting a woman who is a close friend, how much time should you wait before you start dating other women, so it won't hurt her?

So I'm going to reject someone I consider a close friend today due to certain reasons, history etc. Its not like I'm in love with any other women but just wondering that she'll be hurt if she does see my dating someone else.

So what amount of time would you consider appropriate before i start dating again?

I do understand what you are trying to say. But I've been an option and it just feels the worst when you are treated as replaceable material. For as close a friend as she is I would not give her any false expectations, leave her hanging/confused or leave space for any misunderstandings

Honestly If I was in your place, I wouldn’t care because girls in general never care about a man’s feelings when they reject them.
