A guy asked me on a date last week and I haven't heard from him. Is it desperate if I text him to see if we are still on for Saturday?

No its not desperate... if asked but thought you where just be courteous then he might not of taken you seriously. Maybe he thought you were letting him down easy.

I know for me if I don't get and instant positive vibe from a person when I ask them out, I tend to separate from the situation. But there have been times I asked a woman out, but then started thinking maybe it is not worth it to me.

But honestly regardless of the situation if you're truly interested then you should follow up on it. If a woman ever followed up with me, I would have totally gone out with her. But the fact is that most woman just do not.

Clarification to a date time and/or place isn’t desperate at all. You have to adjust your plans accordingly.

Not at all! Just send him a text to say you're checking in, saying hi, and asking if you two are still going out Saturday.

That's it. If he's really into you, he should reply or call in 24 hours or less.
If not? Drop it. Don't message or call him; let him reach out... assuming he does.

No, because its been a week, so send him a text asking if he want's to hang out. But nothing beyond that.
