+1 yIt will go south. It always does.
He could get paranoid that you might expose the relationship.
Surely you wouldn’t make it obvious to the rest of the staff. He certainly won’t want anyone to know. Don’t expect favoritism. This could lead to water cooler gossip. Do you want to be THAT woman?
Are either of you married or single with kids? Imagine if YOU were to lose your job. Imagine having to explain a sudden job loss. There is only one JOB reference your boss will give you to perspective employers.
You DEFINITELY do not want him fearing for his job.
But hey, you are a grown up. You decide.00 Reply

His wife murders you.
He murders you to keep his wife from finding out.
His wife finds out & demands that he fires you. He will fire you.
His wife shows up at work to tell everybody you're a slut.
If you work in an industry where job references are still important, he could fire you and refuse to give you a good reference because his feelings are hurt by something that happened between you two.
He fires you just because he's tired of having to work with/around you.

+1 yI don't think getting fired would be the worst. He could just not promote you and it could take you a while to figure out you're not moving up and then by the time you do... You've wasted a lot of time working hard for nothing.

u +1 y1. My family has lived in the South for 300+ years. Did you mean if things "went North?"
2. Worse scenario is that the relationship sours and you lose your job. Next worse scenario is that your co-workers think you are a whore for sleeping with the boss and, after the breakup, he makes comments about you being sexually frigid, perverse, or otherwise damaged goods in some way.
10 Reply If neither you nor him have ever married, never reached coitus previously, either of you could propose marriage. It is entirely legal and sane, even obligatory, for the unmarried to marry.
If either has previously reached coitus with another person, the person that has had already married (maybe after registering marriage maybe without registering it). To get involved with someone married, if you never have done so yourself, is a bad idea. The married have defrauded and used me on numerous ocassions.
If both of you have previously married with anyone, reached coitus (consummated marriage) than you ought to know to remain with your marital partners and to not cheat!

+1 yYou mean aside from SA, violent crime, murder, revenge porn, torture, exposing your secrets to close family members and coworkers or other bizarre and over the top things that came from breakups?
Probably lay you off and leave a poor recommendation.

+1 yIt doesn't work out and working together becomes awkward for both of you. It is more likely that it ends worse for him, since if you get fired you can probably claim sexual harassment and easily find an attorney who will take your wrongful termination case.
00 Reply I think you have to smooth things out if you want to keep that job or find another one. I'm not very good at predicting outcomes but I can say that the best possible outcome comes from doing one of these two things.
00 Reply3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Anytime anybody gets involved with somebody else at work and there's a breakup either both are going to get fired or somebody is going to get fired

Yes but that just plays into his hands because they would trust him more you know the good old boy system you're better off just not playing with fire it might be fun at the moment whether something happens between you guys believe me you're going to be the one that gets fired and that sucks

+1 yYou could be charge with sexual harassment at the work place
Sometimes that can lead to jail time

Then if he is the one doing it to you. You have choices.
Take it to HR
File a compliant with the employment rights committee
If your in a Union, file a compliant with the labor union
You can quit your job
But better do something fast before he claims your doing it to him
Then your ass will have a hard battle on your hands
Write down everything, (record is better if you can) with date and times
Did anyone else see his advances to you. Get them to file a compliant with you
Don't get involved with your boss, the reason is obvious.
