sex is seen as a reward for men because it's not easy to come by for the vast majority, at least not without certain criteria being met. it's easier for women to get laid even if she lacks certain criteria which isn't even a lot. a solid relationship with the best man she can get is a woman's reward.

that's why women are the gatekeepers of sex and men the gatekeepers of relationships
