I agree that you should block him and move on.

Also, I know this is not what you asked about so I get that this is totally unsolicited advice, but in the future, I would caution you about going through exes for anything at all while you are in a relationship. I believe you that there was nothing going on, but even if the ex can help you save time, or money, or has connections, or whatever, there is always a way to do it without them, and it's never going to go over well with the current partner. The only exception is if you have kids with that person and even then you have to tread verh carefully.

Regardless, he's definitely not in the right for what he did. I just hope that can help you avoid some drama in the future.
