My close guy friend pats me on the head but he's only done it to me. He has a girlfriend though so can anyone tell me if he means anything?

We were at his girlfriends birthday dinner and I was embarrassed by something that I had done so he gave me a hand heart 🫶 and then when I rejected his hand heart he reached over and patted me on the head but it wasn't just a pat, he actually like stroked the top of my head for a bit and then went back to normal. I texted him later and he said he was just compelled and couldn't stop himself.
