1. No, not EVERY man pays for everything on a date. Some younger people ask their date to split the tab. I have no idea how that works for them.

2. Some women will expect you to pay for everything on a date and will be offended if you ask them to pay their share. This will substantially reduce the likelihood of it being a successful first date that leads to a second date, and you must decide if that consequence is worth the $15 or $20 dollars you save with this strategy.

3. Most women want a man who is assertive, confident, and who can take care of a woman. They are thinking ahead to being married, having a family, and being able to stay home with their children while the husband works to support the family. Insisting that a woman pay for her share of a date will impact her assessment of you on this dimension.

4. If you think it is not fair. . . so what. Life is not fair. There are things that favor men and things that favor women. You can either complain and threaten to hold your breath until you turn blue, or you can learn to deal with life's unfairness as it exists.
