2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Yes and no. If by alpha female, you mean a woman who competes with men, then no. She would have masculine qualities (like how she treats him) that are a turn off. very few women can turn off that masculine energy so it becomes a constant thing. If she could switch it on/of and never apply it to him then that'd be fine. I remember hearing that some English Queen was like that.. able to switch it on/off and was always feminine when dealing with her man but not at other times. Although even in that case, she would never know if a guy is with her because he gets off on her weird qualities or is he with her for her feminine ones, in my opinion.
Anyhow, I know a lot of rich people. In every case I know of the alpha type woman is with a weak guy. And often that guy even resents her and cheats a lot on her. Normal guys ain't looking to be with a woman who basically doesn't even need him. It's outside of the feminine-masculine couple making a good complimentary match 'thing'. It's like you got a car and you put square tires on it.
Now I see OddBeMe says, "Usually no. They prefer people they can boss around easily." I have a different experience/outlook. As a traditional guy, I want a woman who respects me. That doesn't mean I expect every woman on earth to respect me. It means I rejected the ones who did not and I picked one of the ones who do. She elected me to be the leader in her life based on my proven leadership capabilities. She follows me because she trusts me... based on how I treat her and based on my track record of making wise decisions. Sometimes she's had better ideas than me and I listened. But at the end of the day we both know I'm 100% responsible and I will take the blame for things going wrong because I'm the leader. That's the situations he wanted. Most women don't want to have to be responsible when things go wrong -- and that's fine.

u +1 y"Alpha male" and "alpha female" are self-anointed titles for people with weak egos who need others to fawn over them. I doubt that such people would be able to support each other because they'd be too busy demanding attention.

+1 yWith humans I doubt very much that alpha males would like alpha females. I think that dominant males would prefer submissive females, to avoid their authority being discussed ;0)
The truth is probably often more subtle, because being submissive with a partner does not necessaryly means not being dominant with other people. There are different ways to be dominant or submissive.

+1 yMasculine women who are argumentative, disagreeable, add stress and drama when you get home, are always competing with you in the decision making promise, they put their careers above the family/relationship, they think their degrees or job or salary should turn a guy on?
No. Go pursue your career. That is your main priority in life. As far as relationships go, romance, intimacy, marriage... etc. not interested in that at all.
We want women... not men. We like women that act like women, not women that act like men.

+1 yI've just about only ever seen an alpha female with a beta male... Unless we're talking about girls from NYC
They date betas to scam them, they look for alpha men but as soon as they see weakness, they usually already know what the scheme is 😂

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yAlpha is a silly term. What you're talking about is people with dominant personalities. And no I don't think dominant guys like dominant girls. Just like dominant girls don't like dominant guys. There isn't room for two dominant personalities in a relationship.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI'd say no, they don't. A so called "Alpha Male" would feel threatened and annoyed by not getting the acquiescence they think they should get. Personally, i love dominant Females, if they're truly dominant and not just whiners. Domination is an art, and when mastered by a Female who uses every asset She has, she's irresistible.

+1 yNo, they do not. High-powered successful men work long, hard hours and do not want to deal with a difficult, masculine woman when they are finally off work. They want feminine, submissive women who will give them peace. The more money a guy makes, the less "alpha female" bullshit he will put up with.

Real Men don’t want independent women
Independent women get beta males who say they’re equal to their wives
Independent women get partners
Husbands are for feminine submissive women
If she hot, not a ho, and not more alpha than themselves, then there is no problem. :)

It's usually a brute's excuse for misbehaviour or egomania.
Do they like each other? - I'd say so, because they won't find a cultured (or smart) partner to mate with or to be tolerated from.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yAlpha males and females would probably not make great partners just as a couple because the two would be constantly fighting over "leadership". It is not like a wolf pack where there is an alpha male and female because there are still underlings to lead (usually their offspring).
