"Simping" is someone who goes a little above and beyond for a girl they barely know, or imagine her to behave (the fantasy of being with her). Behaviours of a "simp" include wanting her attention a lot, stalking her social media and wanting to be around her a lot.

Tbh I think the word "simp" has just become another word for "creepy crush". From what I know anyway, I only learnt the term 2 years ago!

I do not believe being a simp is bad, it is a label used by mates of a friend who is "simping" for someone and are upset his attention is taken away or labeled as someone who is crushing on someone very hard to the point they fantasise about them (sexually and non-sexually).

I call someone a simp if they are extremely creepy (as the listed behaviour above), but anyone who is showing interest in a girl or guy is normal.

This term of "simp" came from insecurity that maybe other guys cannot chase a girl they desire? I do not know! But the role can be reversed too.

Girls can be "simp collectors" wanting as much male attention as possible whether its toxic, creepy.. anything!

Final word: people are weird these days! Stop labelling everything 😂

I’d be more inclined to ask why she is running.
I don’t typically use the word “simping” but what has she said/done to make you think she’s running? Is she maybe just not interested?
If you’ve put yourself out there and she’s not reciprocating, maybe it’s time to meet someone new?

No that's called flirting - on both of their parts.

In the past, "simper" was a verb that was mostly used for girls/women. It was mostly used for someone who appeared to be helpless, real or pretended. They totally played the role "I'm just a helpless girl, I can't be expected to [insert easy task]."

Eventually the term was applied to guys, but not in the same way. It's more like what we used to call "pussy whipped". It's a guy who is mentally weak and lets a girl/woman walk all over him.

Flirting, or playing romantic games, or doing nice things for a girl does not make a guy a simp. You could argue that it makes him more of a man. It only makes him a simp if he does it out of weakness and lets the girl walk all over him, especially when he has on chance of getting anywhere with her.

Men are generally the ones who do the chasing in the relationship. So they’re not simps by initiating a relationship with the girl. However, they become simps only when they continue chasing the girl when she clearly isn’t interested in him. And he knows she isn’t interested but he’s trying so hard to convince her to like him. That’s a simp.

Simping as a term was meant to convey the concept of showing love or doing favors for people (typically a crush) who would never do the same for you.

It is often used for guys who give money to an onlyfools model.

If she's "running away", chances are you are simping and need to move on.
