Why is being clingy seen as negative?

I like women who are clingy.

if you like someone, there has to be some level of clinginess otherwise it isn't genuine.

No clingyness is a inability to control one's self when being apart from someone they like or love and tends to be born from insecurities of being alone sure what many may describe as clingy might not be to you but when I say clingy I'm talking about the type of girl that u will spend a week with straight that after going home 20 mins later is calling u to ask how your doing or qhat your upto and or the type of person that has no friends or hobbies apart from being with u that's crazy unattractive

I've run into a clingy girl who expected to make my time Her time. She would get jealous if I would hang out with friends. Having to interact with her all the time while she tried to push other people away is just exhausting.

I agree with you in general. I think the problem arises when they literally can’t let you do your own thing ever. There is a reasonable limit
