What does it mean to be clingy?

Well me and this girl have been talking and she said I can be clingy sometimes what does that mean and how do I not be clingy without acting like I don't care

The difference between a good friend and someone you're dating etc.. is that you're actually want a romantic relationship, unless you are living together, don't call the girl every 2 hours, guys who i date call me every other day, send a text on other days, realize girls and guys have lives, especially 15-25 years old with focus on school work and family. There should be a set time for you guys to chat that you both agree on, a set day of the week for your date, then go with that.. Clingy would mean you depend on the other person for YOUR happiness.. and you should rely on yourself for happiness first! so with our without her/him you still will be happy.

Clingy isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Some people like clingy partner because it can be lovely. She is just saying ur clingy, she didn't say she does or does not like it. So just ask😌

Oh! I think clingy is when you smother them with love. I think try to put more focus on yourself, dont invade her space that she can't seem to put enough focus in herself too.

I do that a lot actually she doesn't like showing emotions at all and I'm fine with that because that's just her personality and I've accepted that but I show a little to much towards her sometimes to the point where she will ignore me for an hour or so
