Why do women have such issues dating autistic men?

It’s like when a autistic guy finally gets lucky because most are single it’s doomed to fail because either A the women starts seeing behaviors that they don’t want in a parter or B they tell friends and the friends judge the partner harshly which ultimately leads to the demise of the relationship

I myself have dated an individual with special needs. He was a very sweet boyfriend. We never actually broke up but we just grew apart once college came about.
Now Dating a person with autism or any form of special needs may be a challenge. Autism ranges from severe to mild and high functioning in the end it really matters where they fall on the spectrum. A person would really need to understand autistic traits and the individual because no individual with autism are the same. There's much to be learned there are going to be sensory concerns there may be stimming behaviors and there may even be communication misreads. Another thing to consider too how would this affect the couple if they move on to marriage and if they want it children. I'm not sure if there are studies done on the subject of people with autism having children and what are the chances of passing on the trait? We cannot find a gene for autism but it is known to run in families. Though I suppose a couple could always consider adoption if they are concerned about passing on autism to their children.
I think it would take a person with a great bit of patience a willingness to learn and an open mind as well as an open heart.
Another thing too the individual with special needs must also be patient and understanding because there is a learning curve for their partner and there will be challenges for their partner.
The two will have to be very open with each other's and be willing to talk and listen.
