Why did he tell me it’s ok if I meet someone else?

My ex came back and asked me to rekindle what we had. He said he loves me and he missed me.
He even said he will understand if I meet someone else but in the meantime he wants to spend time with me.
Why did he say all that?

well he want you to be happy and not be lonely he want to get back with you for now but if you want move on to someone else he think that ok to. but for now he want be with you then he want you to move on later if it dose not work out or if that what you want. He also maybe think your already with someone else. when you where not with him or maybe now.

any way it up to you what you want to do? date him? date some one else? or just be by your self it up to you.
