I said something really insensitive to my boyfriend and he won’t speak to me?

So his sister is going travelling for a few months on her own and I stupidly said oh its not safe she’ll need to be careful on her own. I also said the country she’s visiting lots of people have been killed there and he got angry and said don’t say stuff like that when I’m already worried. I didn’t mean she’s going to get killed, I just meant in general. Now he won’t talk to me at all and is super angry. What do I do? :(

I don't think thats really a reason to not talk to you by itself. Maybe there is something else troubling him

He said that is the reason , he’s so mad he doesn’t want to talk to me

Hard to say. I just don't see that being a huge deal on its own unless he is trying to distance himself anyway

He just said it was stupid thing to say and I always say things before I speak. Which I do and I have apologised to him but he’s sooo angry

I think it’s because him and his family are worried about her so it was really insensitive of me to say. I don’t know how to recover from this

Not much you can do then now. Is he happy overall in the relationship or more distant lately?

Yes he is happy why? He always says how much he loves me

Maybe just try and wait it out. He can't stay mad for long

He normally stays mad for weeks which is why I’m so worried and upset. He’s extremely stubborn

It’s just the way he is. I literally don’t know what to do , I know how insensitive it was

Its just not good to stay that upset for that long over a comment. Even an insensitive one which is actually just being honest about the situation
