Thoughts on the Barbie movie?

Heavily liberal and feministic but other parts that were related to Barbie like childhood was nice. It was just borderline political.
I rlly wanted to c the Barbie movie as I have already watched oppenheimer. boyfriend was def forced to go with me lol. He drank in preparation, scoffed at actor’s lines. Wasn’t how I expected and boyfriend decided to walk out near the last 15 min of the movie.

I liked it.

I didn’t like the storyline it was too flat for me….

the visuals were amazing though….

Also, I didn’t understand whether they were trying to teach us that feminism is an illusion

or

that patriarchy is an illusion..

either way, one thing I can agree with is that men now days are accessories…. It’s such a shame that is women are stronger, more hardworking than men… men are losers now days and it sucks…. Every guy I work with is lazy and whine when they have to do a little more work while women who do the same job complete the whole tasks and do extra with no complaints, same with males being stay at homes because they are too lazy to work … it’s gross…. Little by little Alpha men or men who are the providers are slowly fading it’s so depressing for women like myself who enjoy the company of strong-willed, hard-working men. I rarely find myself attracted to men now days cause they are too weak might as well become a lesbian honestly cause women seem more powerful than men now days… or maybe it’s just my town that lacks manly men

The trailer alone disappointed me. I initially thought Margot was a good casting choice but I dont like the accent she chose. Thats so un-barbie like. I also dont care for the soundtrack lineup. I rather rewatch Tyra Banks’ Life-Size or the MyScene movie or my animated Barbie movies (like The Princess/The Pauper, Barbie/Nutcracker or Swan Lake, etc) from childhood a thousand more times than go see this new barbie film that will likely ruin my childhood memories.
