How do I get him to open my DM on IG?

I was scrolling through hinge Sunday morning, and came across this guy who looked familiar to me.. I ended up finding his Instagram and found that we have mutual friends. I remembered a few years ago a friend of mine told me about him and told me that he is my type blah blah blah then suddenly I found him while I was scrolling on hinge. So, I swiped and messaged him on there and I also DM him on Instagram. He has not seen either yet. He also has over 6,000 followers on Instagram too so maybe he does not check his message requests. He is super freaking hot, how do I get his attention?

This means business and this means war- have a mutual friend who knows him well, mention you in some way, shape, or form.

That- and/or tag him on insta if you wish. To be clever and really “rizz” up the tag 🏷️, tag him on a post that is shared by one of his favorite/ top influencers he follows, or one where he likes almost all of his/her/their posts. I say this because sometimes a bot tags us on insta and we get accustomed to not paying attention to tags- either altogether- or just ones unfamiliar to us. If you tag him in a post by someone he likes, he’ll read the kind of post or see an image- anything sparking familiarity or interest, and then he will be intrigued more with who you are.

You may not be a “link to his fame,” or introduction with his fave celebs, but you just may be someone of higher interest, once he gets to chatting with ya!

Here are my recommendations for getting this guy's attention on Instagram:

• Like some of his recent photos - This is a subtle but effective way to get his attention. He'll see that you've liked his photos when he checks his notifications, and may be curious to check out your profile.

• Comment on one of his photos - Leave a casual, lighthearted comment rather than anything flirty or overt. Keep it friendly and straightforward. This will definitely show up in his activity feed and make him aware you've messaged him.

• Mention a mutual friend - If you have any friends in common, mention that friend casually in an Instagram story while also tagging him. Your mutual friend may even let him know you were asking about him. This utilizes your existing connections to pique his interest.

• Be patient - He may have simply not checked Instagram in a while. Give it a few more days before taking any additional action. People's habits and schedules fluctuate.

• Send a follow-up DM - If he still hasn't responded after a week or so, send a short, casual follow-up DM just reminding him who you are and referencing your mutual hinge match and/or mutual friends. Keep it lighthearted and low pressure.

• Let it be - If after all this he still doesn't engage, it may be a sign he's simply not interested. You don't want to come across as pushy or overbearing. Focus your attention on people who reciprocate interest.
