There might be truth to that in some cases. And it could apply to both men and women. The more attracted they are to you, the more afraid they would be of losing you. And they would be continually looking for signs that you felt equally attracted to them.

Could be some truth, I'll run into some that get paralyzed, they'll blush, turn away & I never see them looking at me directly again, even when talking or handing me a paper etc.. other times they'll get this swooning drunk dreamy look. Doesn't happen to every woman but the ones I fit their type.
