Id residency for neurology stressful enough to not want to be in a relationship?

A guy I was talking to for a couple weeks declined our date today and said that the past couple weeks have been a lot for his energy levels.. he wished me the best and told me that it wasn’t me but he just can’t pursue a relationship rn? Is there really not enough time? Is this a bs excuse?

It could be an excuse, sure. It can also be genuine.

It is not strictly speaking that stressful or demanding practically. But there is always the mental part to consider. Learning that A hints at B is easy. Knowing that if you ever forget that A hints at B, someone's life might be ruined? That is often stressful. Worrying that you will forget something important because your head wasn't fully in it? Stressful.

So, it absolutely could be real too. Whether it is or not, you should assume it is. Better you both get to be good people than not.
