Has dating got a lot worse for men?

My stance is that if you look at your grandad, he could get a woman 5X the quality (virgin, cooks/cleans, obedient), just because he has a degree.

Whereas now;

You have to have your whole life in order, intelligent, money, hardworking, tall, fit everything, handsome.

For what? A girl that jumps across guys and doesn’t treat you with the true respect men deserve.

Do you agree? Just an observation. It’s so common to meet a girl that’s talking to multiple guys at once and just playing some game.

I'm not a woman, so I'm not entirely certain about the reasons behind this. However, I can share my personal experience as a 6'1" man with what I would consider an average appearance. At 25, I am fortunate to be financially secure and lead a very comfortable life. Despite this, I've found myself single, and I sometimes wonder if my personality might not align well with others my age. While I can't pinpoint the exact cause, the fact remains that I've never been in a relationship. It seems that dating standards have risen insanely, and even women with average backgrounds can effortlessly connect with all groups of men.

Yes statistically dating has gotten a lot more worse for men especially after the advent of social media and dating apps. The average man has become invisible to the average woman with only the top 10% of men being able to date.

The solution is not foe the average man to invest in a lost cause but to avoid marriage and not be taken as disposable.

No, it's actually gotten a lot easier. Men are offering less now and still getting women. All those things that you mentioned that "men have to be now to get women" are what men were by default back in our grandfather's time.

I disagree you just needed a degree back that. Men were more traditionally masculine, but there was less superficial interests and status war.

With the #metoo movement I definitely think it's harder for men to date now than it was before that started. Men can't even go up to a woman without it coming off as sexual harassment lol. I feel for you guys.

That’s true but it just means you have to tread carefully. Most of the time if you treat women good they’ll not want to destroy your life. Also the world is slowly realising the bullshit of the metoo movement with cases like Johnny Depp and amber heard.

No. But that doesn't mean you don't make solid points.

The reason I say no is because yes the overall quality of women has fallen and continues to fall. But so has men, the quality of people in general has fallen. But that shouldn't change ANYTHING for a quality man. A real man does not tolerate nonsense from women (and a quality woman does not tolerate a guy that has no character).

Too many guys today chase women like they're some kind of rare commodity and that is the guys undoing. A guy should KNOW his value from the beginning and not tolerate a woman who does not respect him. If more guys would fix themselves the problem with women would right itself. Because women would either have to get better or they simply wouldn't ever get a date.

You have an accurate view of the present, but might be looking at the past with rose colored glasses. My grandmothers were born in 1908 and 1914. Both were pregnant when they got married. For one it may have been her third pregnancy. (She once said you could jump from about three feet, land flat footed and induce a miscarriage. And aunt told my dad she had done it twice.)

We have it harder, but only because the expectations have gone up. In our grandfathers' days, all they had to do was have a job. Modern women expect a lot more from men, but we haven't been taught how to meet those expectations.
