i'm in a talking stage for 5 months with a guy , i like him so much and he likes me too , but he told me two months ago that he's unavailable emotionlly and he needs time to heal from his trauma because he exprienced some bad things in his life , i really want him and i don't know what to do , if i should wait or it's time to move on

It can be hard when you care so much about someone and want to be with them, but they're not ready for a relationship right now. If this guy is still healing from past trauma and isn't ready for a romantic relationship, there's not much you can do except give him time and space. You don't have to wait for him forever or put your own life on hold, but if the connection you have with him is meaningful and important to you, it might be worth it to stick around and be there for him as he navigates through those complicated emotions.

That depends on a lot of things. Can you wait and is it worth it to you? Here is the thing. If he is emotionally unavailable then you don't want to rush it because it won't be fair to him and you. He won't be invested in the relationship like he should be. That is not a good way to try and start a relationship. It will be doomed to fail. So you need to ask yourself if he is worth the wait. You could always wait a while and then reevaluate.

I guess I'm with @_Maya_ on this one although the wise ones saying move on make a compelling case.

The thing is, I suppose, is move on to what? Do you have a line of guys you're interested in or are drooling for you? If so, move on. If not, then don't. Give the guys space and, more importantly, friendship. That will build trust with him and may net you a relationship in the future. May = key word. But unless you're moving on to a sure thing, hang for a bit.

Move on, you can't rush him and he doesn't owe you him healing or a relationship.

It's unfortunate, but sometimes it really is a bad time. Keep in touch, and maybe you'll have another chance later - but don't count on it.
