Is it weird to thank a guy for asking you out on a date?

Sometimes I feel like I'm too nice. Maybe I shouldn't say that? A guy asked me out this Wednesday and I was thinking of saying, "Thank you for inviting me out on this date." But now I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't say that, maybe it's weird or like I come off desperate. Or I have like zero self esteem lol. 😭😅

When he asks you out, all you have to say is "Yes. I'd really like that." or "Sure, I'd love to."

After the date, you can thank him and say you had a really nice time.
You could even give him a sweet kiss.

After first dates with two different future girlfriends, actually one turned out to be my future wife, when I walked them to their car or to their front door and was being gentlemanly, they put their hands on top of my shoulders, lifted up on their tip toes, pressed their bodies against mine, and gave me a tender, lingering kiss. No tongue or face eating, just sweet and tender and a bit demure.

I'm not sure about thanking him when he first asks you out, though. Save that for during or after the date.

It's never wrong to be polite. I would appreciate hearing that from a woman. I also get why you wouldn't want to say that. And I'm not going to tell you that some guys wouldn't look at that as weakness on your part because unfortunately SOME would. But the sooner you find out about those guys and thier true motives the better.

I'll just say this. I think you should say it if you feel it. Because that's honesty and honesty builds the healthiest of relationships. But if you don't say it, know that your ACCEPTING his date proposal is essentially the same thing.

It is not weird at all to thank a guy for asking you out on a date. It's actually a very sweet gesture that shows that you appreciate his effort and thoughtfulness.

Don't worry about coming off as too nice - a simple thank you is the perfect way to express your gratitude and show interest.

If you are interested in going on the date, then it is definitely a good idea to say thank you for the invitation and to let him know that you are excited to go out with him.

To me it’s weird. I say this because it makes you look pathetic, like no one takes you out on dates. Which even if that’s true, don’t say it lol So rather than saying something like that thank him at the end of the date by saying how you really enjoyed the date, how you enjoyed being w him, thank you for such a wonderful night. Maybe thank him w a little kiss. Your emotions, you’re interacting, laughing, having fun will tell him obviously how much you enjoyed being w him. All this assuming you really enjoyed being w him.
