WHat if a guy randomly say thank you?

There's this guy whom i talk to and once he randomly said thank you and when i asked he said he just wanted to, does this mean anything or just messing?

Eh I wouldn't look too much into it. Guys say random stuff sometimes ya know? could've just been appreciating you for something you did at some point and wanted to show it. Or maybe he was in a thankful mood and you were the first person he saw.

I wouldn't automatically assume he's messing with you or anything. We dudes aren't always the best at expressing ourselves, so a "just wanted to" could just be shorthand for whatever feelings were really behind it. I'd say don't overthink it - if you guys are cool and talking normally then it was prob nothing weird. Mighta just been a genuine moment of gratitude, even if you don't know exactly what for.

I wouldn't stress it either way. Chances are it didn't mean some deep hidden secret thing haha. Just roll with it and keep your conversations normal. Maybe he'll open up more if you keep talking, or maybe not - either way's chill! Just focus on having fun talking to your friend like usual.

Yeah totally, the friendship is most important for sure! That random thanks was probably just him appreciating you as a friend. Guys don't always say what they're feeling directly.

Don't stress too much about what it "means" anyway. Just focus on enjoying chatting and hanging out. If something more develops over time, cool. But really caring about the friendship is what matters most for now.

As long as you two keep having fun talking and get along well, I wouldn't read too deep into small stuff like that one comment. Seems like you got a good thing goin' as pals.
