The ghosting and silent treatment is a cruel, inhumane form of manipulation and emotional abuse.
This is the worst punishment and pain that your partner or someone else can inflict on you. Otherwise, it is a form of emotional abuse of someone with a pronounced narcissistic personality disorder, and NOONE should tolerate that. In this way, he or she wants to keep his/her partner under control and punish him for certain statements and actions.
NEVER ACCEPT EMOTIONAL ABUSE!
It can also be the treatment of choice for people who have no respect or running away from conflict with you, and it can also be a clear sign of emotional immaturity and handicap. It is the worst method of punishment and is often an inadequately excessive punishment.
Maybe you were there and asked yourself: "Maybe I've done something really wrong?, "Maybe he/she is right?", "Maybe he/she don't know what he/she is doing?", "Maybe if I do or be that waht he/she wants everything will be ok?
WRONG. People who do that know exactly what they are doing (hurting you) and there is no justification for that behavior.
STOP every contact with that kind of people. Everybody should do that on a regular basis. We don't need that trash in our society.
I don’t ghost someone. If I ghost someone then I’ve told them I didn’t want to be contacted by them anymore. As far as me being ghosted? Not really often no.
Bur don’t be a coward people. If you don’t want to talk to someone. Tell them. Don’t leave them in the dark. I think ghosting someone is a cowardly move.
Also… if someone won’t talk to you. They’re not worth your time anymore. Just find someone who will talk to you at least
NOW… sometimes a conversation dies and you don’t speak to someone for a long time. That’s not ghosting someone though. If both people just don’t really talk to each other anymore
Thank!
Blocked IMMEDIATELY. I give him 24 hours to respond, just in case he got into an accident. Or died or passed away. Or someone stole his phone. Or his phone got crushed in a hurricane/ earthquake.
Some crazy, random bad scenario that doesn’t allow him to respond.
The next morning, when the 24 hours have been completed. I BLOCK. I change my social media name. I change my number if I can. Etc Etc Etc I’m blocking and never looking back. 💅 not in 3 months, 6 months, not in a year. Not when I’m 80 years old. NEVER AGAIN. 💅
Thats the ultimate form of disrespect. He can go do that ShT to someone else. 💅 All I know is that he’s not doing that shit to me ever again his sorry life 🖕🖕 in his sorry existence.
Yes , my ex fiancé. We had a small argument but his mom stuck her nose in and he just never spoke to me again. He was young and immature , still living at home. it hurt at the time but In hind sight probably for the best

I've been ghosted but I never ghost. I will either tell them 'hey, it's just not working for me' or purposely try to give shorter responses. But I never just completely disappear on somebody.
I've ghosted and been ghosted. Some of the guys I ghosted were getting kinda creepy/weird or they were just being assholes.
The guys who ghosted me, they seemed like nice guys. One happened when I was a teenager and the other happened when I was in my early Twenties, I think. I can't remember how long I was talking to the first one before he ghosted me, but I was talking to the second guy pretty much every day for almost two months before he ghosted me. It was the day before Valentine's and I don't know if he thought I was going to get weird about Valentine's Day or if he secretly had a girlfriend or something, but that was the last time we spoke. 😂
There may have been other guys who ghosted me, but those two were the only guys I really liked, so they "hurt" the most.
Yep, I've been ghosted more times than i could count. Worse time was when everything is going well with the second date, she kissed me goodbye, went to sell her wares at a convention, and i was blocked by her on every part of social media with no reason of why.
I have ghosted many times too, but normally it is because someone doesn't accept being told no, someone constantly blowing up my dms when I'm trying to relax, or some dude is a toxic asshole, that i don't want in my life. I ghost within reason and normally give them a reason.
Well maybe if you weren't such a mommas boy. Do everything mommy says that girl would have been yiur wife but no. Mommy is important to you.
All i hear is "Mommas boy mammas boy... blah blah blah" Bruh. I respect my mother and in in good relations with her, but i live alone, in my own apartment, i do leatherwork and bicycle repairs & mods, i pay my own bills with my own income, and i don't have any debt. i speak with my mother once or twice a week to see how she is doing, like any normal person, she doesn't control my life. I don't know what mommy issues you have and honestly i don't care, but don't assume to know me or how i live my life. You're honestly trying to troll because of your own insecurities. So gtfo if you don't have anything helpful to comment
Typical millenial men not surprised. Your mom come first before any girlfriend or wife. FYI I was married once to a mommas boy. Every Christmas Thanksgiving it was always at his mommies house. This is why 45 year old guys are better then guys your age.
So let me get this straight... you had 1 bad marriage with a dude obsessed with his mother with obviously mental problems and next to no self-reliance, so you think every guy who is on good terms with their mother is the same? PULL YOUR SEXIST HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS! Not all guys are the same and not all millennials are the same. Gah! i swear all of you people who group all millennials together and use "millennial" as an insult have a damn screw loose. We are not all your damn mommy obsessed ex-husband and not all millennials are the absolute morons everyone cherry picks to bring to social media. For fuck sakes!
I have ghosted and been ghosted too..
I was seeing a girl and we went on 3 dates and things were going smoothly, then she confessed to have been married twice and divorced twice.. I ghosted her the next day🫣
I met a girl on a dating site and we went on a date, texted and sexted a lot for a week.. She even sent me some sexy pics of her while I was at work, and then out of the blue she said it’s not a good idea, and left me on read.. i texted again the next day and she ghosted me🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
people who ghost others are horrible people. but they are not as bad as the ones who ghost and come back. once someone has ghosted you it doesn't matter to what level you love them you need to say goodbye forever as it is one of the worth thing you can do to someone. block them and pretend they never existed.
Yeah one of my ex gfs who I dated for 9 months did this after a minor argument. She was a lot younger, beautiful yet immature. So I knew it was a possibility. She was really bitchy to most people except me most of the time. But deep down I knew that could change if I got on her bad side. And sure enough.
I got over it. But it still hurt though. Hurt a lot.
Been ghosted. And that shi hurts. However, the most recent one with a boy in the town somewhere I try to keep in touch with. then I text him and he don't say shi...🙃 he said we could be friends. I know where he lives so if I really wanna try to keep this up, i'll ask him wtf next time. But honestly... uuugggh.
Met a friend on here. We were really connecting, becoming friends. Even talked on the phone a few times. Then out of the blue I didn't hear anything for 3 weeks. I got an apology after that, because they said they release struggled with depression. I was understanding.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. We talked for 2 days and then I got ghosted again permanently.
🤦Yeah. My LDex ghosted me after we breakup. I only wanted to have a final conversation—as to everything we passed through and why we couldn't be together anymore. I did had that conversation, but it took a long, long time to have it.
After I started connecting dots, I realized she wasn't the honest person I thought she was. Reason my feelings for her, adruptly faded.
Ghosted my ex crush after her trying to treat me like nothing happened, half a year after the second guy she told me of without me asking. A year later it was her talking to me first, though she let me know that I was just some random guy to her.
Yeah I've been ghosted many times. The most confusing was when I had been speaking to a woman who I got on super well with we had been talking everyday for a month about loads of different things. And well I did try to plan a date but she shut those ideas down pretty fast. And said I'd prefer to get to know each other better first and then well she just stopped responding.
Happens all the time. But to get me to do it, I have to be very strongly motivated. Cutting someone off from my life completely is not something I take lightly. But suspected scammers have a very high chance of seeing my ugly side.
Both.
When I got ghosted I felt bad but I honestly can’t think of any reason why that person would ghost me but thet must’ve had their reasons.
The time I ghosted someone it was for a simple reason, I just couldn’t handle their BS and wanted to cut all ties with them effective immediately without having to exchange any sort of verbal/physical communication with them.
I've been on both ends of that treatment. I always try to give the person lots of explanation and clarity about exactly what my problem with them is, but when people ghost me, there's usually no explanation at all.
In my case, when I didn't like the person who was courting me, I told him to stop. He accepted what I said and asked if we could just be friends, but then he couldn't stop pestering me. So, instead of continuing to explain myself, I ghosted him.
Yes I've been ghosted before and it still hurts because the person who ghosted me was a girl I thought was my best friend and in the past 7 years she's only spoken to me like three or four times
He owed me money and just stopped replying... I could of went to house and got it but fuck him, karma will get him..
I only do that when people had done something very wrong to me.
Ummmm not really not by anyone that matters anyway.
I thought a girl ghosted me once but she got in an accident and smashed her hand like a pancake. She was in the hospital. I blocked her number but did eventually get back in contact.
I've been ghosted and I ghosted two friends years ago.
Yeah. Ehh, whatever They do me a favor. It shows their true colors. 🤷🏽♀️
This has happened to me but I think- in retrospect - it was for the best.
I always accidentally ghost people because of my ADHD. I would type up a message, then get distracted and forget to send…
Yeah. Both. Including the slow fade being done to me. It hurt sometimes but I don’t think it’s wrong
Both sides of that I know now I had enough of someone’s bs
What if you are a ghost though? Does that count?
People I friendzoned.
Not really, but I'm rusty.
More often than I'd expect
Yes I've been ghosted before
I'll just block them
many times I was ghosted
This has never happened to me before.
I'm sure everyone has
I think we all have.
Everyone does it
🙄….
Nope
