My ex wants to be friends and maybe start dating again, what to think?

Hi, our relationship lasted for 12 months and was very turbulent. We picked fights a lot, we had a problem in our communication. He has a short temper and i have anxiety, i also tend to be controlling. It made him tired. He broke it off, he said he hates me and after a few days he said he would want to be friends with me and maybe after a while we will start dating again. I was very confused. The major problem is he only blames me and my behaviour for the breakup.

From what I've experienced, and what I see in others who rekindle friendships and relationships with people from their past is that the two personalities will mesh and go straight back to where they were before. It's as if people fall right back into form.

This has happened with me both in a romantic rekindling, and a friendship rekindling. For some reason I assumed the same role and reverted right back to the same ways I was before, and so did they. It's as if we both just picked up again right where we left off. In both situations, I called it off right after I saw it was on repeat.

It's not worth it in my opinion. You broke up for a reason. Leave it that way.

thank you, the problem is i can't let go of that breakup. It still haunts me, and our memories are killing me.

I think you are still young if 21 is ur age. Many people nowdays gets traumatised by these types of relationships so make sure to leave bfr u sink even more.

Also, No man is perfect but u need to knw what u can tolerate and what u can't in a relationship. Trust ur instincts i thk u knw better whether to run or stay

When I hear a girl say her guy has a temper, my first thoughts is don’t walk away, RUN. When a guy has a temper in the early stages of dating (the stage where you try to put your Best foot forward) then that temper is only going to get worse with time. You don’t need an abusive guy in your life. Move on. Find someone that will treat you good.
