For a first date, yes. Good place to talk and read each other.
Picnics in the park and stargazing are the most romantic dates in my opinion
I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on a first date. You don’t even know if you’re compatible.
At age 48, you should be thankful that you can even get a date. Certainly, you shouldn't be looking in the mouth of a gift horse.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with it, as long as it is not too late in the dark in a secluded park. If it is broad day light park setting I think its a good idea. I like it.
You are free to do as you please. But I understand your suspision. Maybe he is just broke or does not want to spend money to find out that there is no chemistry.
First date to a park is fine, to walk in natural surroundings, hold each others hands, sit on a bench, talk, and get to know each other better and also to plan your Second Date ! :)
I don’t see anything wrong with that, the park is quiet and that’s the best environment for getting to know each other. He might actually take you somewhere else after the walk in the park.
Hopefully he has more planned. Maybe there’s an event? Food trucks are fun.
Perhaps don’t judge on bad date planning. More on his personality. We guys have rough with first dates. He’s trying.
why is that cringe? do you have a better idea? then say it to him.
It’s a first date. I’ve never met you. If I go out and drop $$$ when I’ve never met someone, that that’s a red flag on me. It’s so sad that y'all care about how nice the date is rather than enjoying the person. Just sad.
Wonderful romantic picnic date. Nothing to worry about
life's too short to make simple things complicated
Really at the park where kids play and people just sit there and chill and eat chips…... not romantic at all , go to the cinema or restaurant it’s more quiet and good place to make connection with both of you
Cinema as first date for 48 year old?
If they can why not
Restaurant yes
But cinema there isn't any conversation
@fuddly Wait, there’s an age restriction to go see a movie? Honestly, I didn’t know that. Can you write me up a list?
@Peridot25
How strange, after 3 months you decide to reply to my comment
Cinema for me is for young people who don't have their own place to kiss and cuddle
But maybe 48 yo might actually watch the movie
Could just stream it at home?
@fuddly What makes you think that about the cinema? Every age goes.
I couldn’t even tell you the last time I went to movies in my adult years.
Why is it cringe? Walk us through your thought process. Seems fine to me.
I am a real cheapskate but even i would not do that for a first date.
i saw a guy bought two McDonald's ice cream cones for a date. absurdly cheep cheep as the birdy says
No, I saw a horror documentary movie where the killer asked the victim to meet him in the park
Order a pizza and go to sleep
that is no proof because i scream six they emphasized the dark alley. that is the danger not a park with people.
Who's bringing the shovel you or him? Are you splitting the cost of the plastic liner bags? Is the hole already dug because that takes at least a couple of hours.. just make sure you or him do it st night less witnesses around
What would you prefer?
why? are you getting the impression that he's cheap?
Depends if that park is known for crime, etc
Sure why not as long as other people are kinda nearby
Its normal. Or Do you have a better suggestion?
I want you to invite me into your mind for a second. Why do you think a park is... cringe?
Nothing is ever cringe. Meeting someone for a important relation isn't ever a bad thing. But those who believe in cringe ARE cringe.
I once thought of inviting whichever woman on a date in a park, but after having dinner, and not right away.
I think it's okay as long as the park has a high traffic of people. It depends on the park I guess. If you want to go to dinner, maybe try to persuade him to take you to dinner after if you have time.
Sounds romantic to me, but it's up to you, lady.
A walk in a park is quite normal for a first date. Many people do it.
There are some private spots in the park I skating in
You are 48 not 18. Manage your expectations a bit.
You should go , who knows , you might have a 7 course meal after that date 😉
I think that this kind of person is cheap. Its not to spend money on you.. thats what I firmly think... I ve never accepted walks in parc.
So you want money spent on you?
to @Safaalove , content cheap so you expect to get but what is the exchange so you are not selfish?
the park? not a restaurant?
He sounds poor.
Was he pushing a shopping trolley containing personal possessions and empty cans
Depends. If I is an isolated place, be careful.
Nothing wrong with it if he's providing the picnic
Go for it but don’t do anything sexual if he asks you
Go way to spend time talking and getting to know each other
No; you're cringe. Why don't you like parks?
Nah a park date is cute
You have high maintenance written all over you.
Yeah why not.
Why is it cringe?
I don't think so I think it's sweet.
I think it’s definitely not
Why not
Lol kidnapper vibes unless it’s a picnic
He must be short on cash. Well as long as he makes it cute then it’s ok. U could at least bring u flowers or buy ice cream
He* I meant
You're 48 years old. Why are you asking us?
No that’s fine
As long as it's not at midnight...
I don't see anything wrong with that.
My policy now: never say no. Be a yes girl
Of course you should go
maybe he wants you to feel safe in a public place
Would a 5 star hotel breakfast be better?
You’re 48 years old. Not a hot 19 year old girl.
a park is public and open
Why not.. enjoy the fresh air.
Don’t go, he’s a broke loser🤣
Do you trust him
Maybe he’s broke
