People should have common courtesy to everyone else. It shouldn't be because of gender at all. Man open doors for women and women open doors for men. Simple. Common. Courtesy.
Whatever both of them are mutually happy with is all that matters. I see nothing wrong with the idea at all, but maybe some women would rather open doors themselves. I think the man should initiate this action in the beginning by all means. After all, we are talking about respect here, but as I say, if a woman does not feel the same way for just whatever reason it may be, then the man needs to respect that and support her in her wishes and desires.
I do it all the time, I started doing it the first day I got my drivers license to take my mom in to town.

I might do this if it were natural and convienent but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to do so and would expect an extremely negative reaction if it did.
I also wouldn't want anything to do with a woman who expected me to do that.

Yes, it’s very romantic and I personally enjoy being treated like a princess
It's a nice gesture. But if we're five years in and their's a flight to catch, chivalry can wait.
Of course, Coach, from my POV, only a barbarian would NOT do that.

Agree unless she belongs to the streets lol.
no. we live in an equal society. men opening the door implies women aren't equal.
Who wants to date a woman that can't figure out how to open a car door? I've seen people with down syndrome that can handle that...
LOL.

He should if she is wearing a miniskirt. He may appreciate what he sees when she steps out of the car.

True. A guy should always do everything he can for a, whether he's in a relationship with her or not.
If she's okay with being thought of as "his woman" like it's "his car" then sure.
If she believes in equality she can open her own fucking door like the strong independent 'womyn' she is.
He doesn't have to if he doesn't want to, but I do prefer it. I like it when my boyfriend is being a gentleman.
romantic men are unique and unforgettable
Yeah I understand. Most women want bad boys who treat them like garbage. Those are definitely not forgettable

Door handles are fucking universal. They can be opened by either gender.
It’s polite but I wouldn’t flip out if the guy didn’t do that
He can but doesn't have to. My boyfriend does and is one of the few that still believes in chivalry.
Disagree. I'll help you get on a horse is cars didn't exist because you likely can't do it yourself but with a car, you can open the door yourself
