Guys, is it unattractive to be a virgin?

20 year old Scandinavian female here. I am virgin, have never been in a relationship and have never kissed a guy. I am very average, 5'6, blue eyes and blue hair. I spend much time wondering what is wrong with me since no guy has ever shown interest in me.

I am really against hookup culture, and long for a loving relationship.

Is it unattractive that I "don't have game" or that I am a virgin?

So for me ate 47, not going to lie... I have been with 15 different woman and had tons of sex. So yeah, at 47 it super unattractive to me.

But at 20, no it does not matter at that age you are still very young. But I could never be with a 20-year-old virgin... but seriously there would have to be something seriously wrong with any 20-year-old virgin to want to be with me.

The closer you get to 30 it might start to get weird, but honestly at your age you're on track and I respect that.

Statistically this is something that is far more important to younger people than older people. Less than 30% of people are still virgins by the age of 26... less than 10% of women are still virgins at the time of marriage. I have looked all those numbers up before, so you will have to google it for yourself.

So, the older you get, the bigger deal you make about virgins or being one, the less likely you will find someone.

I assume where you live, it is much like it is in the USA. Per the Center for Disease Control (CDC), By age 15, 21% of young females aged 15–24 had ever had sexual intercourse. By age 17, this increased to 53% of young females, and by age 20, 79% of young females had ever had sexual intercourse. That implies, at your age there are 4 non-virgins for every 1 virgin.

Not that this site is representative of the USA, but it is probably not far off, and per a survey SOL, for marriage, more than half the men would choose a young virgin over a young non-virgin. Even if it was 50% a virgin would have 4 times as many guys to choose from. That gives you a significant advantage. However, the advantage my not be all that great because almost all men will choose a pretty non-virgin over an average looking virgin.

Therefore, to answer your question, it is NOT unattractive to be a virgin and it makes you more attractive, even if not by a lot because when a guy sees a couple of girls, he doesn't see a virgin vs. a non-virgin. Instead he sees a pretty girl vs. a girl that is not as pretty. Moreover, by the time a guy learns that you are virgin, he is either into you or else he is not. And, that greatly minimizes the value of being a virgin.

Is this really necessary? I am not religious, and marriage is not the most important thing in my life. I know what you mean about the hook up, nobody says to sleep with a different guy every weekend and change them like socks 😁, but you need to go out more, to start to listen to people, to start to socialise, to start to listen and observe, strike conversations, be open and curious, you'll be surprised how many answers you can get out there... you don't want to be "stuck" in a Fast track marriage and maybe even with a child or 2 in the fist couple years of you'r newlywed otherwise you will REGRET it for the rest of your days...

The things you say, I try all that. I love people in general, and love to talk to people. I go out every once in a while. I am going to be very honest. I am an involuntary virgin, if I had mutual romantic feelings for a guy, the case would be easy. But no guy has ever shown the slightest interest in me, when I talk to a guy, he looks weirdly at me. In a group setting, the guys ignore me EVERY time I try to talk. Maybe I am that uncool / unfuckable. But if I get a message from a guy that I don't know one evening, I am not going to show up. Because I know he wants one thing only. I would like to meet someone and then have sex, instead of having sex and then getting to know him. As I said, I am not interested in having kids (yet) and not religious. Well, there must be something guys don't like about me. I'd have to meet you to know that. I'm guessing you're very normal visually in Scandinavia but your personality is what I don't know. Are you very shy and quiet? Are you anxious about socializing? Things like that :). I don't think it's unattractive to be a virgin at all. I'm autistic and it took me a very long time to figure out who I am (I was diagnosed at 29) and gain enough stability and comfort mentally to be comfortable with having a love life. Everybody moves at their own pace and that's good :) Maybe you are afraid of something but you're not aware of it yet. Have you done much introspection?

I think you have it all wrong, if anything most guys would think its more hot that you are a virgin. But really it shouldn't matter what your body count is. I could fall in love with a woman who has been with lots of men or one who hasn't. I also am against hookup culture, there's nothing wrong with you just because guys aren't asking you out. I guarantee if you went to bars wearing something revealing, guys would ask you out, just like the other girls who do that. You need to activately search for a relationship if you want one. Also don't be afraid to be the one to make a move if you like a guy and he hasn't made a move on you. You miss every shot you don't take.

Being a virgin is not a problem and, over here in the USA, you'd be considered attractive - especially being blonde hair, blue-eyed and 5' 6". In a sense, unfortunately for you, being blonde-haired and blue-eyed (like I was) is more normal in Scandanavia. Naturally blonde-haired and blue-eyed women are much more rare here and in demand.

You don't worry. There will be a guy who will ask you out. Believe it or not, one important thing that helps is that they need to know you are available. Many guys might want to date a girl but they assume she is already taken. Pretty and often even average girls fall into this category. So, if you see a guy you might be interested in, find out if he is available and then manipulate the conversation so he learns that you are available. He might then become interested in you and act on that.

However, having game is attractive. Having game is the ability to influence someones subconscious. The ability to get their subconscious in harmony with the idea of being with you in a relationship or whatever your goal is.

To lack this ability you become reliant on your looks or less factors. However, a wise guy would be able to see how great you were regardless of your game. Most people cannot because they rely a lot of their feelings.

Try just working on making others feel appreciated and like they are worth something. Practice on everyone. But don't do it for a reaction out of them. Some will internalize it and some will not. But make your appreciation obvious. People remember what makes them feel good. Do it because you want to be that person. I think we all want to be a light in the world. Do it even if you feel they don't deserve it. It's not about them and what they deserve. It's about what you believe in. It's about who do you want to be.
