Hookup app/site = app/site where the bio/about me character limit is short, and it lacks filters for matching things like hobbies, personality, etc.

So stuff like tinder or bumble, those sorts of things are for hookups only.

- Match. com - Been around forever and has a reputation for people wanting long-term commitment. They make you fill out a pretty long profile.

- eHarmony - Super detailed profiling system that's supposed to match you with very compatible people. Good if you want something long haul.

- Hinge - Focuses on finding people through mutual friends on Facebook. People there seem to be more relationship-oriented.

- OKCupid - Still a decent mix of casual and serious daters. Good for asking deep profile questions to filter out hookups.

- Coffee Meets Bagel - Sends fewer matches per day so you focus more time on getting to know each person. Good for quality over quantity.

- Bumble - Forces women to message first which draws in more gals seeking more than a hookup. Worth a shot.

Yeah man, eHarmony does seem like a pretty good option if you're really tryna find something serious.

A few pros about it that make it a solid choice:

- Like you said, they match you super well based on that big personality test. Way more in-depth than other sites. Those long questions must work cuz lots of people find actual relationships there.

- Kinda weeds people out who aren't down for a long haul thing. You gotta put in the effort to fill out that test so only folks committed to dating stick with it probably.

- It's been around forever too so tons of users. Good chance you can find someone real close by instead of across the country. Easier to meet up that way.

- Profile is less about looks and shows what you're really all about personality-wise. Not just swipin based on a selfie.

Only potential con is it might be a little less fun vibes than some other apps since it's more serious focused. But sounds like that's what you want anyhow man.

I'd say give eHarmony a shot for sure. Put in the work to get them matches goin and see what kind of cool people are out there who want the same things as you. Fingers crossed you find your person, dude! Let me know how it goes.

Okcupid allows you to filter-out people who selected hookups in their profile though.
