Quandary: I am not attracted to the men who like me and men I like are intimidated, what should I do?

I feel like men I am attracted to do not dare approach me (I am into dark-haired dark-eyed men), as though I was out of reach but I can feel the interest they have (that is shared). On the contrary, most of the guys who dare approach are not my cup of tea (light-coloured eyes and no dark hair) but I am not receptive nor am I physically attracted. The issue is that these are the ones who want a relationship with me and show genuine interest. I am also super old-fashioned and I want guys to make the first step (so a big no for me to go after a guy I physically like) and most of those who try are in the second category to my despair. Is it superficial on my part and what should I do?

Stick to what you like and maybe try little steps being cuter more approachable

My sister just has a skill for being approached I never got close to it till my hubby was the only guy to really ever approach me.

It's a girl's world out there so most of my freinds approach Thier dates. Usually shy submissive guys. But they get dates that last 6 months.

You never know things might end up. I personally don’t approach strangers. I only ask out women I know for weeks at least. And I’ve been asked out before by women. 4 in total throughout my life. And I only rejected one. But that’s because I was too young. But they all ended up in relationships. So it’s up to you.

it’s hard to change what attracts you. in this case, i can’t think of any logical reason why there is this split in men, since it has only to do with appearance. sounds like just bad luck? any idea what intimidates them?

Yeah it is kind of superficial on your part. But that's also a majority of women. What do you do about it? Who says you have to do anything. You continue down this path and see what it gets you. Or lower your expectations a bit. Either one is fine.
