Hun, you are still young. 2 kids and you’re only 20, that’s a set back that’s not insurmountable. I don’t know what’s your financial background is, can you focus on providing a good life to your children, can you focus on upgrading yourself. Give yourself 2 to 5 years to work on that.
Search for a certificate, a diploma, a degree or any short term skills program that you can learn and earn money to provide for yourself and your children once completed. Create a budget, go to school part-time.
Your community might have resources to support family in needs, if you are in need reach out to them.
Don’t listen to people bringing your morale down, they do have a point, and they are not totally wrong. However, they don’t know how you, and how you got to where you are. Your decision making skills is poor, and lack of maturity, well you are 20 with 2 kids that a little obvious you’re not fully matured. That’s mostly where they opinions are coming from.
Trust me “a man”, I would say a Boy in this case is not the solution. Man who we assume is responsible, self accountable usually assume their responsibilities. I’m pretty sure it’s one of irresponsible ones that loves you with two alone now.25 Reply- +1 y
Okay hun,
That’s the first step. Great! forget about men, there’s a time in life thinking that the other sex exist is not even worth it. What you want is being on your own, protect yourself and your babies, don’t bring anyone around them. They need your safety too mama, be a mama bear. search for ressources that support single parent in your communities, go back to school nursing, LNA, those are one easy way out with a fair income. Keep level up from there with your education, part time if you have to.
It’s not impossible. Your main advantage here is your age, you’re young.

+1 yI think it's always a challenge to find someone you're compatible with. Individuals will subscribe to a variety of reasons for not developing a long-term relationship. You are very young, and with two kids comes great responsibility from you and whoever forms a relationship with you. Sadly, there are individuals who will have a problem with you having children or them being biracial. This is something you will likely not be able to change their perspective on.
Finding a kind and loving and responsible young man will happen for you, and I wish you the best in searching and being accepting on your end as well :-)127 Reply- +1 y

@kylee2437 that is saddening. Do you blame the ease of finding a willing sexual participant?
- +1 y
@kylee2437 I suppose that makes sense. I am long since removed from that age group, so I can't fully relate.
- +1 y
@Matilde03 you are still terrifically young, have you looked into a municipal, state, or federal job bank? You have your GED, and often times those types of jobs have excellent benefits, and will pay for a variety of programs or certificates, and possibly even more extended education.
- +1 y
@kylee2437: LOL, who says she has to date only fellow 20-year-olds? And you're delusional if you think having kids isn't a factor, meaning that her dating pool isn't that big when you consider who's eliminated: 1) guys she would date, but won't date a woman with two kids and 2) guys she won't date because they aren't reliable and stable.
My suggestion to her is to focus for now on career and her kids. And I know a little something about this topic since I'm the son of a single mom of two. - +1 y
@Avicenna actually I’m not delusional. I am a woman similarly to her age and can explain for one thing, that finding a partner that is there to not put you through BS is rare. Any woman in their 30s will say the exact same thing.
And her dating pool eliminates low effort men, which are the least desirable ones especially ones that don’t want to care for kids. Thats not a loss when her kids are a part of her life forever. - +1 y
@kylee2437 I think she is wise enough to know that you're wrong. I know enough women around her age who have steady boyfriends to know that it isn't as impossible to find a stable boyfriend as you think it is, but these are women who don't have kids. Now, a steady boyfriend is not necessarily synonymous with settling down, but
Almost no men want to take care of some other man's kids, especially if he also has to provide financial support to their mother as well as the kids. To imply that there are lots of them running around is clueless on your part. What kind of man is willing to take care of some other man's kids? Not a desirable one. - +1 y
@Avicenna or she’s doing what everyone else does when they get ghosted and automatically blame themselves instead of mentioning that a person that ghosts is the one at loss. Sure there’s women that don’t have kids, but that’s not her situation so why she should sit there and live her life comparing herself to someone that isn’t in her shoes? Ridiculous. Only clowns on the internet like you can be this old and sit there and shame someone instead of giving advice that doesn’t make a 20 year old feel like shit. Ridiculous
- +1 y
@kylee2437: A reasonable person (which you clearly are not) would see that I'm providing life advice and trying to help her improve her chances of finding a suitable guy. She is a lot wiser than you are, bitter to the core already despite being in your 20s. Seeing the way you communicate on here, I can see why you get ghosted.
We can't ignore the fact that she has kids because for men it's the primary reason why they don't want to date a woman. I'm not judging her and I'm definitely not "making her feel like shit". To suggest that there are great guys out there she can date who will have a permanent relationship with a woman with two kids when they can date women who don't have any is crazy and trying to sell her a bill of goods. Bear in mind that guys who can have kids and want them aren't going to date a single mom when there are plenty of women who don't have kids they can date and have kids with. Furthermore, guys who don't want kids at all won't date her in the first place. It's just reality. Stop pretending that acknowledging it is some kind of insult.
You have a lot to learn about life.
- +1 y
Yes I work with a councilor and she helps me with the other benefits I get like housing assistance and food stuff. I wouldn’t be able to have a two bedroom apt if it wasn’t for her. It’s in a development that I’m familiar with. There are other single moms around to help feel safer as it is a kinda low income housing type situation. Lots of Jamaican home cooking too 🥰
- +1 y
- +1 y
@kylee2437: You're beyond clueless. And she can date someone who's 30 rather than someone who's 20. Of course, if we assume you're correct, that means my advice to focus on her kids and building a career is really good rather than trying to date these immature guys.
Your problem is that you want to delusionally pretend that it's irrelevant that she has kids. She knows better than that. - +1 y
@kylee2437 I realize that I’m not going to be with anyone my age or it’s unlikely. Yes I have dated guys in there 20’s and obviously that hasn’t worked out. The bd to my youngest daughter was like 26 and I was 17. He left b4 she was born. My last boyfriend a beautiful man (Jamaican) was 43. We looked to find a nice apartment, but he went back with his wife and kids.
- +1 y
@Avicenna it is irrelevant that she has kids because there’s still plenty of men that will still date a woman with kids. She is eliminating men that she wouldn’t want to date anyways. Her age is a bigger factor than her having kids.
And don’t tell me I’m delusional when I was 20 years old getting cheated on when I also have no kids. It makes very little difference in reality. Men on this app are just super misogynistic and have no issues hanging up on women on this app - +1 y
@Matilde03 you are just at an age where dating is very hard to do without the possibility of a man cheating / putting in minimal effort to begin with
- +1 y
@kylee2437 it’s common that guys cheat. I’ve kinda accepted that. When I was younger I had many guy friends that would talk openly about it and they were 20 ish. One problem I have been in is I dated this guy for about a month and all of a sudden I am being threatened with this girl who has a 3 month old baby with the guy. I found out he has like 4 different kids with different girls.
- +1 y
@kylee2437: You are delusional. And you can't handle a difference in opinion. No wonder no one wants to date you, especially not a decent, stable guy.
And keep pretending that the men who are willing date women with kids are men she wants to date. You see what she's experienced already even with a much older guy. - +1 y
@Matilde03 you will find someone. I know plenty of girls in their 20s that had kids young and found someone else no problem. Just have to find the right person. I’m working on it myself and I don’t have kids. Good men are a dime a dozen at our age.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 "And her dating pool eliminates low effort men"
You're wrong, sweetheart. All my friends who are still behaving like fuckboys ❤️ single moms because they're usually desperate for men's attention or gullible enough to give sex and for the promise that the guy will not abandon her and her kids. Spoiler alert: this promise will never become reality for the most part and there's no way for her to know whether she's been played or not. - +1 y
@kylee2437,
Hey, Kylee, how are you? I have to agree with you, I've seen how "fuckboys" play and hurt women to the point that women start being commitment-phobic too. I guess we're heading to a demographic disaster because women are seeing how being a single mother holds them back in life and most men and women are becoming averse to commitment.
16.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I think you already know the answer to this question. Truth is, you will have a very hard time finding a guy who wants to settle down with you because you already have two small kids. The best way to mitigate this is to develop a career like nursing which pays a salary which is high enough for you to be able to support your kids on. The reason why I suggest this is that it will eliminate financial concerns on a guy's part, although kids are still a lot of work. Now, it won't be easy to do what I suggested, but if you have a good support group in family and friends, it can be done.
29 Reply- +1 y
Defs not smart enough for accounting 😂…. I don't know if I am even smart enough for nursing. I was not very good in school to begin with. During my freshman yr I was skipping a lot and hanging with some people that lived in my neighborhood. They were older and finished with school. I basically lost interest in school.

@getwiththepg yes I had one white guy ask me out and he ghosted me before our first date.
- +1 y
@Matilde03 From the man’s perspective there’s too many questions to ask when people see a white couple with two kids that don’t look like them. And also white men see you as “tainted goods” now.
- +1 y
@boggboss well of course. But no matter how common it seems now, interracial relationships are still somewhat taboo these days. Any interracial couple is going to be questioned in public for the most part. Now to have two children with black men as a white woman & not be married to him, your options are limited to Jamaican men (lol).
- +1 y
@getwiththepg that’s a you issue for not being up to date in society plus you having the possibility of being racist
- +1 y
@boggsboss They’re not gonna outright question you. They’ll keep it to themselves and look at you weird.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 You’re not serious right? Oddly enough out of all the women I’ve slept with, none of them have been black women. I like all types though. But we still have like another 10-20 years until it’s really normalized. White women sleeping with black men is a fetish for the most part. They don’t usually see relationships long term with black men.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg what a bold statement of saying someone so unfactual as “it will take 10-20 more years” people have been taking interracial kids for years. Gotta get with the program
- +1 y
@kylee2437 I never disputed people mixed race babies at all. It’s been happening since the Atlantic Slave Trade. Older white men do not approve of their daughters having children with a black man unless their is a socioeconomic gain on the daughters part. They mustn’t be equal. Albeit 12 years old, Mississippi voted 46% to interracial marriages being legal. And again although 12 years old, this is still very far out from 1960’s when their was a 94% disapproval rate.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Plus, I’ve had white women tell me their father would not approve of it, & also the men of their country would tell the girls parents if their daughter was seen with a black guy in public.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg except there’s a huge generation gap between old white men and current people having kids. And even then a parents disapproval means absolutely nothing in this generation. You are not caught up in current times
- +1 y
@kylee2437 you really believe every 40 year old man is ok with their daughter being with a black man especially with what they see on the news & what rap music is? Please be serious & not delusional.
- +1 y
@getwiththrpg most people that are in current child bearing years have parents over the age of 40. And who the hell cares? Again parent approval is not a thing in this generation and if it was , I wouldn’t have a ton of tattoos on my body. If you are going to talk about current times, be up to date and stop involving false numbers to justify your tad bit of prejudice mindset. The fact that you screw white women and show signs of someone that doesn’t approve of biracial children is pathetic
- +1 y
@kylee2437 PLUS the asker literally just showed you her dilemma! She just said all men ghost her once she finds out that she has two biracial children! She is showing you front and centre her experience!
- +1 y
But I'm not betting on the race being a factor here but her having kids also stating
Also looking at u weird because u decided to date outside ones race I agree is a issue with that person not with said couple if someone's mindset is set that way its pointless to care the same way many still look down on others for having sex out of marriage but it's not like we give the time of day to people like that - +1 y
@getwiththepg not all men. White guys and only a few black men.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Her reply when @boggboss asked why would the race matter was “I try being upfront. It seems to matter all the time.” I think the race matters.
- +1 y
@bogboss it’s both. But a white women with two black children is not attractive to prospective white males.
- +1 y
That's absolutely correct. However, there are also a substantial number of white guys who are, for lack of a better term, 'color blind' when it comes to arrangements like this. Unlike many men, when I'm out in public with a woman and her children, who have obviously been fathered by someone other than myself, I feel such pride and fulfillment, knowing that I'm being a daddy to these beautiful children who needed one, rather than passing up an opportunity to make a difference in their lives, as well as their mother's life.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 no no no, you’re confused here. If the stats I provided from articles & academic papers weren’t enough, OP’s own experience should show you. You said you’ve been ghosted even though you had no children. How many more men do you think would ghost you if you had one? Now how many white men would ghost you even further if you had a child that was biracial? Not only is it not their child, it’s not a child that belongs to him, bearing zero resemblance to him. That is too many questions to be asked by his peers. Some men can obviously be in love with a woman and see past her situation, but most men would just move on and find the girl that is more suitable to them.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 *facepalm* Obviously people are going to be ghosted, but your chances of being ghosted increase significantly in situations like this.
- +1 y
- +1 y
@kylee2437 So you think if you were a single mother of two that your dating options would be the exact same if you were a female with no children.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg Absolutely because we all have issues in life. The fact that you blame people for others inconsistency is your first issue
- +1 y
- +1 y
@kylee2437 No, you would not have the same options because men don’t want the baggage that comes with two children that don’t belong to them, much less have the same skin colour as them. The woman would have to be VERY significant & different from all women to them to select her as a partner for the rest of his life.
- +1 y
So because of outdated racist stereo types the majority of white men feel its fine outcasting a white women for having kids with a black man fair enough seems silly but meh again how can this way of thinking be fine yet we don't give a shit about people thinking sex out of wedlock is a issue seems like we pick and choose what stupid to listen too
- +1 y
@Matilde03 Did you have children with a black man by the way? Cause if not then obv my take is irrelevant but I’m assuming so.
- +1 y
@boggboss I mean bad apples exist in all races, but black people put it front and centre with rap music that is horribly negative. And that’s our culture. So a conservative white man who brought up his children “properly” is usually not up for their daughter to be dating or married to a black man, nor will white men with status be open to the idea of it. White men have no problem dating black women & having children with them, but if a white man specifically likes white women only, he’s not going to be open to dating a woman who had two children with a black man.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg yes, both were black. My first is very dark skinned and dark eyes. My second is dark but with my bluish eyes.
- +1 y
@Matilde03 you say both were black. So two children with two different men?
- +1 y
- +1 y
@getwithhepg maybe we have different options but it still doesn’t change the fact that I’ve been ghosted. It doesn’t matter the number of men that have done so. This seems like simply her trying to ways to blame herself for another persons fault because ghosting is wrong regardless of reason. I’d take someone with children over someone with very little communication skills to the point where they ghost when it’s convenient
- +1 y
@getwiththepg also people wanting to only select the best of the best these days may be the problem, not someone with kids that wants to find love
- +1 y
@getwiththepg yes I don't know who the father is of my first. And my other daughter, he left just b4 she was born.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 If you’d take the former over the latter why haven’t you found a man yet then? Wouldn’t that indicate underlying issues on your own part?
- +1 y
@getwiththepg because people have other issues aside from just having kids, wtf? If I’m telling you ghosting is a consistent issue among everyone why are you trying to make assumptions about me? Hopefully you are wearing condoms with the white women you fuck for fun. Foh
- +1 y
@kylee2437 I don’t wear condoms, I just pull out, even after the white women I do & have fucked tell me to cum inside of them. & you sound bitter that no one is fucking you if I’m being honest. I can sense the sexual frustration.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg I sound bitter but you openly admit you fuck people for fun without condoms and not only that have prejudice beliefs against them. And my sex life is great, thank you for your concern , asshat
- +1 y
@kylee2437 How the hell do I have prejudice beliefs? I’m at the bottom in the social hierarchical ladder. And I fail to see how having sex without condoms if the other party is asking not to use it makes me a villain. You make no sense.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg because you have no room to call anyone else a red flag when you are a person that doesn’t have an issue with knocking someone up when you have the belief it’s harder to find true love when you have kids. Ridiculous. This is why I’m single. There’s more men that carry themselves unbelievably ridiculous than their isn’t. It’s disgusting
- +1 y
@kylee2437 I forgot you were once a man before you were a woman & you know how all men think *sarcasm*. I stated earlier that the woman would have to be very significant (i. e wealth either in liquid or in investments on the furthest, or a decent title regarding her job & fit & very feminine, as in submission ) for a man with options & no previous commitments to date a woman with children, & in op’s case, children from two different men. OP isn’t going to date a man who has nothing & won't contribute to her & her children just because she wants a man. That doesn’t make sense.
- +1 y
@Matilde03 would you take a man if he had no job, out of shape no friends & no libido just to date him out of true love? Of course not, correct? You are already getting by without such man in your life currently.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg this isn’t a gender issue clearly. How in the actual fuck are you going to have a mindset of women with children are less desirable meanwhile being the man that leaves a woman single with children. I have no words left for you. Despicable
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Ok, you’re weird. When did I say I leave women single mothers? Like what. You are literally creating lies & getting riled up over such.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 No, that is a lie because I haven’t left any women a single parent. And how did you come to the conclusion that I would leave a woman a single parent if I were to plant a seed in her? These are generalizations & assumptions with zero merit behind them. But, my mindset that any regular plain jane woman with children being less desirable than if she had none is true though. A man is also putting himself in harms way with her ex. Ask me how I know all of these things.
- +1 y
@getwithepg again just because you haven’t left a woman pregnant, doesn’t mean you won’t, especially because you openly admit to not using condoms meanwhile you have sex for fun. Do you get std screenings or do you just raw dog women to women with no possibility, since you ride by the idea of “I don’t use condoms, haven’t gotten anyone pregnant so that means I won’t ever” means you definitely don’t get screenings. Yuck
- +1 y
@getwiththepg as I said there’s no issue with an ex. The bd of my second daughter left just b4 she was born and has since gotten married and will not admit she’s his.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Again baseless assumptions and horrible wishful thinking towards someone you don’t know nor caused harm to you. You also don’t know the women I’m screwing, much less to even consider if they’re on contraceptives. None of your claims make any sense & you would probably benefit from seeing a psychiatrist.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg there’s no wishful thinking hun. The possibility of you having kids/stds when you admit to not using condoms is on the high end of the spectrum. 24 years old and you aren’t aware of that is pretty disturbing
- +1 y
@Matilde03 At least their isn’t an ex to possibly terrorize you & your future mate.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 I’m aware of that. I’m also aware that I haven’t had a child nor any std’s yet so I must be fucking the right people.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg so point proven “it hasn’t happened to me yet, so it won’t ever happen” responsible. Take several seats
- +1 y
@kylee2437 So then….
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Cause if I have a kid regardless I’m going to take care of it. So still your antics don’t add up.
- +1 y
@getwiththepg who said you wouldn’t take care of it? What are the possibilities of you being together with someone you knock up from causal sex? That’s the point here. You are then just being a contributor to the idea of someone being a single mother meanwhile also thinking she’s a turn off for those circumstances.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 You said I would leave a woman a single parent.
“@getwiththepg this isn’t a gender issue clearly. How in the actual fuck are you going to have a mindset of women with children are less desirable meanwhile being the man that leaves a woman single with children. I have no words left for you. Despicable” that’s just one quote. I think you said this about 3 times.
What is casual sex to you? Meeting up on tinder for a one night stand? The women I fuck I form a relationship with first. And no I’m not contributing to that notion because I never said I support the idea of leaving a mom a single parent. This discussion has had zero merit on your end and it’s insane how much I’ve had to repeat that. - +1 y
@getwiththepg you said from the very beginning you have casual sex with white women, then we add in that you don’t wear condoms ever.
- +1 y
@kylee2437 So? How is that related to me potentially leaving a mom a single parent. See you keep swerving the original point & then bring up something that doesn’t even justify it. And again I’m asking what is casual sex to you because I showed you the women I fuck I form a relationship with first. We don’t have to be claiming each other but these aren’t women I’m having one night stands with. So you’ve gone from my point that women with children are seen as less desirable, to me having sex with white woman as a black man which is something you are so stuck on for some reason, basically wishing I impregnate one & then saying I wouldn’t be there to take care of the offspring. That’s the better question though, why are you so hooked up on me having sex with white woman?
