Your past history shouldn't be part of the appeal. It should be YOU that us the appeal. The history is irrelevant.
You need to take time after abuse to heal. And learn how to spot red flags so you don't get hooked on an abusive person again. So you can spot them early and run.
But once you've done the self work and are happy in yourself again, there's no reason you couldn't find an emotionally healthy, caring loving partner.
But please do the self healing first. Be since fir a while after abuse. Because people aren't plasters to heal your wounds for you.

Depends on how you let your past affect you. Learned helplessness, bitterness and distrust are all poor company to hold. If you're a functioning and mature adult in the face of your past, the past in itself shouldn't be held against you by a woman worth persuing (and that goes both ways gender vice by the way).
Well, hopefully he has learned from his mistakes.
