I remember this man from my old job I didn’t make the effort to keep in touch with. He’s not there either and I don't know where he is now.

He was so calm and collected. Nobody’s perfect and I’m sure he had sides to him that I couldn’t see but he was hardworking, just an absolute gem of a person. You don’t meet calm masculine men like that. Usually you meet guys who can’t take no for an answer, are over emotional and want what they want when they want it regardless of your feelings about anything.

I just look back and wish I had the chance to be his friend or get to know him better.

Now I have a boyfriend who abuses me and I’m loyal and devoted so I’m stuck right now. Maybe he will end it.

Yes, we all have missed connections. I've been in a very abusive relationship and I regret it now. Get out now and you will never regret that decision. There are good men out there but you won't find them if you're in an abusive relationship. Be brave.
