Guys, He’s been to my house but has not had me over. Red flag?

I’ve been seeing someone since July; exclusive in Sept. He has two teenage children who live with him. I shared that reciprocity is important to me and that I’d like for us to visit each other’s homes. He said no problem and will set something up so that he can have somewhere for his son to go. Per his words, he is divorced. Weeks have gone by and he still hasn’t had me over. I don’t have much trust in him because of this.

Hmm that is kinda sketchy that he hasn't had you over yet. Like if he's saying he's divorced and you guys are exclusive, why wouldn't he want you to see where he lives?

I'd start getting suspicious too if I were you. A few things it could be - either he's lying about being divorced and his ex is actually still living there. Or there's something else he doesn't want you to see at his place.

Guys are also just lazier than girls sometimes about that kinda stuff. But it's been months so that excuse is running out. You were totally right to say reciprocity is important too. I wouldn't want to always be going to a girl's place if she never returned the favor.

I'd try talking to him again straight up, say you thought he said he would work on having you over by now. See what kind of excuse he comes up with. And watch his reaction close too, see if he gets defensive or dodgy about it.

If things don't check out, I'd start reconsidering how serious you can really take this guy. Def some red flags waving here I think. You don't wanna waste your time if he's hiding something, you feel me?

It can be a difficult situation with teenage children , maybe give him a prompt of some sort of prompt?

Gotcha! Good idea. I did that and I got the same response of, “I’ll set something up.” At this point, I see him as a red flag
