TW - I talk about self-harm and suicide in this opinion. I don't promote ANY of these behaviours! This is just my experience.
My boyfriend has long-term depression. He has good days and bad days, like us all. However, any random thing can set him off. He has been suicidal I'm the past, and every day is a constant worry.
I now have depression for around a year, maybe more. While my depression isn't as external as his, it's very hard. I get frequent suicidal thoughts, and I self-harm.
Being around someone with depression is more likely to make you depressed. But I wouldn't have said no if I found out earlier. If I had known earlier, I would have been able to help more than I did.
Nope, I’ve done it before, which is why I wouldn’t do it again. It was a horrible experience and also led to the guy treating me badly.
As long as I was capable of helping her out, why not? If she's not a narcissist who just wants attention, but a truly troubled girl, I can fix her (and if I can't , we're going for a double suicide, I guess).
If she’s like a persistent eyor yeah… no thanks. We all have our hardships. That being said if my girl is sad about something my job as her man is to console her and figure out WHY.
