Yo dude that's actually a pretty slick idea! If you can swing getting a job at the same place as that girl you like, it's definitely gonna give you way more chances to chat with her and let her get to know you better.

I'd say go for it and apply, and if you end up getting the job then heck yeah go for asking her out. Working together is a natural way for you guys to interact without it being too awkward of a first "date" situation, if that makes sense. Plus you'll probably get to see her way more often that way too.

Only thing I'd be careful of is, don't let the possibility of seeing her be the ONLY reason you apply. Make sure you're actually interested in the job itself too. And if for some reason you don't get hired, don't get too bummed about not seeing her - stay confident!

I knew a guy who wanted to work at McDonald’s cause he had a disability and finding any job at all was an achievement for him. When we went to buy our lunch there, he knew the names of at least 80% of all the people who worked there. You don’t have to work there to know people. I used to visit a cafe so often that the staff would often give me freebies. I would get a tea and not have to pay for it.
