I don't see a reason to moralise over consenting adults spending their time with who they like. Nor do I think it's anybody's business but I see people like to stick their oar in. Sure, some older men may have bad intentions, but the same applies to people of the same age. I'm generally not attracted to people because of their age. Age is not a reliable indicator of maturity, and there are attractive people of various ages that I would not date. It's about the purity of the connection. Life is short, spend it how you like, so long as you're not hurting anybody. Even if it is an 'age-play' type of relationship. Who cares? People may blow off some steam or engage in recreation in whichever way they choose. Like I say, most relationships are a disaster or have some karmic element, or are lacking in self awareness. Such is the nature of the beast. We learn through relationship and making mistakes.

These guys who like super young females border on a pedo type mindset to me. And think being with a younger woman will make them feel alive again or something. You also have a lot of them nowadays who have the ridiculous idea that younger females are more pure and less poisoned by feminism, feeling that older women are "used goods." When the irony is that the young females are not pure at all and feminism resonates with them more than the older women who came from a time where they were more humble.

Look if a dude like that wanted to date me, it wouldn't be because of my personality. He'd get some kind of kick over my youth and virginity. That kind of relationship would easily lead to a power imbalance. I'd end up handing my autonomy off to him because 'he knows best'. So all around bad idea

I don't know about dating, but in my limited experience, men over about 25 who hit on teenage women are a pretty sad lot. I've known three women who were wooed by a 30-ish man and all their relationships ended badly. Two of the young women got pregnant, and when the baby came they discovered that instead of one baby they had two. The third, very naive at 19, married a 29-year-old gay man and for decades wondered why their sex life was next to non-existent. Finally she hired a private detective and found out that he meeting men for sex while she got none.

I think this is a red flag if a middle-aged man (or woman for that matter) wants to date an 18 year old.

Many older men like to control significantly younger women. For him, it's a "bonus" to have an 18 year old by his side. Almost like a trophy.

Dating? Seems like a mutually parasitic situation, honestly. Yes, young women are pretty but they are from a different world. Grown men who want to be a part of that world are only grown physically and have the greed of the mind that makes them want to cling to life in a way that stops them growing mentally. This is fairly well understood but the lesser talked about is the sort of young woman who would actually go for such a relationship. I think because there's no competition and presumably disproportionate material reward.

All that said if a woman is truly just wizened beyond her years I guess it's fine. But most girls who think they are are actually just jaded. And the old men who tell them they are wise anyway simply know that that's a simple trick to charm them.

Or, if it's not for dating and just for sex, eh.. seems like that ought to be gross for her but if it's not then it's not. I'd imagine that's the arrangement that keeps prostitution going, in any case.

Weird. Gender doesn’t matter. Someone who is middle aged has nothing in common with someone who just got out of high school.

Most 18 year olds are still immature and have no life experience.
18 is practically still a child. Even as a 26 year old, I view 18 year olds as babies lol. I wouldn’t even want to be friends with an 18 year old, much less date one.

I dated an 18 year old when I was 25 and even then I was like “yeah, this was a bad idea.”, pretty quick. She was ok but I’m not tryna go to 18+ night at the club, and I DAMN SURE am not trying to hang out with your 18 year old friends. “Omg, I was SOOOO drunk last night!” gets old REAL fast when you’ve been able to legally drink for like four years, lmfao

At my age now…. I can’t even imagine it, 18 doesn’t even look like an adult to me now, in most cases. A handful of them look more mature than they are, but for the most part, I see them as kids. Still hurts when I catch a “sir” from them if they’re working at a store and helping me or something😂

They're both adults; it's fine. Now, it's probably not very wise; they're at radically different points in life and not likely to have a tremendous amount in common, but it's not inherently bad. And it CAN work out, it's just unlikely.

And even that's assuming that they want something very close and long-term; if they're just having fun together, it's all the easier.
