What is an incel?

I met these guys. They said they cold approach women, but get no dates. I asked them if they were incels, and they said no, but isn't an incel just an involuntary celebate? If you approach women but can't get dates, doesn't that make you an incel? If you approach women but get no dates, that seems like they are involuntarily alone, and involuntarily single because theyre looking for dates but women are just not reciprocating

Okay, that word isn't seriously meant to mean 'involuntary celibate'. First and foremost, it's an insult for misogynists. A man online saying how awful modern women are with so much anger behind every word? Call him an incel. Not because you know anything about his sexual history, but because nothing will hurt his pride like being told "oh... so you can't get 😺?"

So only use the word 'incel' on really butthurt, sexist men. That's it's real purpose

I think there is a bit more diversity than that. What I get told by fathers is their sons think girls are more trouble than they are worth. and their fathers are pleased they are putting more effort into their future than chasing girls. They seem to be more serious than I was at their age and more focused.

I am not very interested in the various categories and colors of pills but it seems that about 60% are not dating from pew reasearch

Incels tend to be found online and consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, and hold views that are typically hostile towards women and men who are sexually active, I wouldn't say those guys are as they're at least trying however in a very creepy way icky way

Well arguably it depends on whether they are in a country where prostitution is legal and if they could afford it if they wanted to.

No they are not in my opinion  Incels or Femcels are those who stop trying and blame it all on the opposite gender for being single

Incel is a portmanteau for involuntary celibate. It’s what it sounds like. Someone who wants to but cannot enter into an intimate relationship for factors outside their control.
