Guys, Why do I feel like I’m meeting a lot of great guys from the dating apps but everyone I know just complains about their experiences?

I have no problem getting asked to dinner or being treated respectfully. Sure there are some strange conversations here and there when I match with someone but I usually just unmatch. I’m just not seeing it as super rough out there as in there aren’t any good people to be with.

Hmm that's a good question man. A few things could be going on:

- Luck of the draw - Maybe you're just matching with better dudes than your friends are. Dating apps are hit or miss.

- Standards - Could be your friends have higher standards or are more particular about little things. They may see flaws your overlooking.

- Location - Different areas have different dating cultures. Maybe your town just has more chill people on the apps.

- Timing - Could just be you're meeting these guys at a time when they're actually looking for something real versus a hookup.

- Perspective - Your friends might be overly negative. Complaining is easier than admitting they found someone decent haha.

I wouldn't stress about it too much. As long as you're feeling good about the guys you meet, that's all that matters. Maybe your friends just need to calibrate their expectations some. Keep doing your thing - sounds like it's working for ya! But don't be afraid to trust your gut if a dude seems off too. All about finding the right balance I guess.
