What do I do what a 33 year old man who I’ve known for 5 years is breadcrumbing me?

We’ve recently met up and he treated me like a queen. He lives across country but will move closer to me at the end of the year. His communication has always sucked. But when we are together everything is perfect. I like him. His friends have good things to say about him. But he’s inconsistent with texts and I don't know if he’ll follow through on visiting me. Should I talk to him about and and risk scaring him off? What do I do?

Ok first of all you need to realize that men aren’t like women. We don’t usually sit around waiting on every word of everyday for a girl to text. He does have a life, maybe works. In your mind you think because he’s not messaging you as often as you message him that maybe he’s not interested. Yes it could be true but in general men just aren’t into this messaging or taking a lot, especially if he’s really masculine. Women on a on average speak about 20,000 words a day compared to men which is about 6-8,000. A lot of questions on this forum ask the same thing, why doesn’t this dude text me a lot. Not just in the states but overseas as well so that should also be another indication that men are almost always the same regardless of country, origin, race, etc. You’re expecting him to be like your girlfriends where we just sit, talk, gossip, doesn’t work that way. Men are better at showing affection by things we do for the women we care about. Meaning things like paying for her meals, taking her out, paying the bills, etc.
