Define "Heavy". I'm English, roots in the Westcountry. Think Sam on LOTR only thicker.

In England most people don't notice it. But I live in South Africa now. I've learned to tone it down so I'm understandable here. The irony of an Englishman being told his accent is confusing by someone who pronounces the letter "a" as an "i" as in "thit blick oke"

  It's just an observation. I worked in a call centre a few years ago and another expat from the English Westcountry called and he had a really thick accent but made no attempt to be more easily understood so the team leader asked me to take the call while he listened in. The really funny bit was the old guy also spoke with a Westcountry DIALECT! Think Chaucerian English in the Canterbury Tales. The different counties vary a bit, but I speak Dorset dialect and understand Somerset and Devonshire. Cornish is literally another language.
  
  My team leader had no idea what we were talking about as he listened because of the combination of accent and dialect. It was great fun!

Yes. The measure of a good partner cannot be established by their accent. Language barriers are obviously important to consider, but if you can start a good conversation with them in spite of a thick accent, why should that be a dealbreaker? I've seen many loving couples whose love crosses languages. Usually one of them is a native English speaker and the other is ESL, but they both love each other.

Yeah, most of the people I know have pretty light accents because of how Americanised we are. Finding someone with a thick Aussie accent is rare but I love it

I don't quite get it but there is something attractive about a girl with an accent. End the end I just have an accent as well to her. I wouldn't date or not date anyone for having an accent but I may be more attracted to a girl that has one.
