I find it very unnatural to call strangers hun
Because I don’t care about them and it’s not even polite to pretend I do and call some sweet words to people I will never remember again
If someone calls me hun, I’d be thinking “I am not your hun, what the hell.”
Very unnatural, you might as well call me “babe”
No because psychotic women will get bent out of shape about it and complain to HR about my misogyny and now I'm being forced to attend sexual harassment training at best - losing my job at worst.
I honestly never do and I don't like when people call me dear, honey or anything like that if you are not close to me. I don't get upset but it's definitely in my head "I'm not your hon"
Nope, I only like giving special nicknames to partners. I think it takes away the meaning if I just treat everyone the same as I would if I’m with someone special.

Lol, I call my male friends honey or my dear :D
But we all know it's only for joking and bantering.
Not typically, for me.
There IS this one checkout lady at a local hardware store that calls almost everyone- especially us older guys- "hon".
I use “Hun,” not honey, all the time.
But not my husband. I don’t use that word for him
I find it seems hillbilly to call people you don't know sweet nicknames.
I'm from the south. Every woman that I speak with when I go back home calls me hon.
I call everyone I know honey, baby, or sweetheart. It is a habit.
I call everyone love. And at any age too. It just comes naturally to me
No. However, there are people that do, even if they don't know someone, either out of habit or work.
Good q. No, that’s strictly romantic to me. Maybe like an old black grandmother could call her Amazon delivery boy honey. Tho you know it’s not platonic.
Yes, it would be used on children or pets, in the parental/caretaker role sense.
Given my southern upbringing on my fathers side I have used those and others.
I don't know if I'd even use it in a romantic sense ha
Well. My girlfriend of the past told me O. J. Simpson came into the grocery store in Miami she was a cashier and said hi honey to her
Anyone Hun, Hun. xxoo
I don't ever say that.
I would not call anyone that in any sense
The South shall rise again! Yeehaw! 😬
I do all the time right hon? @BCRanger10
There's a first time for everything 😄
Absolutely! What's wrong with it?
Happens every day where I live.
No, I'm not a southern waitress
Nope.
I don't.
not really
