Well, I don't have much experience with guys, and the ones that I have been with, it wasn't for very long. so I'm not exactly sure what it means. But we're friends and we both know that we like each other, if that has anything to do with it.

he likes you so it means he's being sweet and giving you a petname, if a stranger says it then theyre being polite or friendly and if someone in a position above you or a stranger who is being standoffish says it theyre trying to be condescending. its one of those terms that can be meant in so many different ways
