Boy calls me girlfriend then says we aren’t dating?

So I’m confused on what to do. I’ve been talking to this guy since October ish the end of it basically. Two days ago, we went to a restaurant and to Dave and Busters. He texted me asking if I wanted to be his passenger princess. And I asked to where and that’s where we went. On the drive there he was saying how happy his younger self would be right now. That he has a girlfriend, he’s doing good in basketball, he has money, etc. He also called me his girlfriend yesterday. Fast Forward to today, we had a talk and during it I asked him if we were dating and if so what would be the date. He said the time he took me to this one restaurant, then 20 min later, he proceeds to tell me that I am his girl but we aren’t dating and that we haven’t been on a date-date yet. In addition to this, he had said he wants to meet my family a couple weeks ago and is excited. Why is it he called me his girlfriend so happy, but now all of a sudden i’m not one and he thinks there’s a missing piece?… what do i do here.

You both sound like you're pretending to be adults. Women ignore red flags when they want. If you need to ask strangers about some guy your dating regarding his intentions then you have your answer. Trust your gut not your soft heart or overthinking brain.
