Dating

We are not together but I am upset that he's talking to other girls?

I am going to try to condense the details as much as possible. I have been talking to a guy for almost a year but for logistical reasons (distance, school) we could not see each other often. We have been on two dates, both were great and we have kissed. Other than that we communicate through text which has been very consistent.

In the next few weeks things should get easier for us to see one another, and I was definitely of the mindset that I wanted to take things to the next level (physically) ASAP. However, this guy is not great with his expressing how he feels and I started to worry about this, since we have been speaking for so long and he has never actually told me he likes me or has feelings for me. I brought this up and he confirmed that he does like me. This settled me and I was looking forward to seeing how it goes in a few weeks when we can see one another.

But then I found out (through a friend) that he is still on dating apps and definitely still talking to other girls. We have never discussed being exclusive, so he is not technically doing anything wrong, but this makes me doubt him and our connection. I deleted my dating apps because I like him so much I dont feel the desire to talk to anyone else. I was content to wait it out until we can see one another and see if things go well. After he told me he liked me he continued to talk to other girls. While he is entitled to do this, I see this as proof that he doesn't feel the same way for me as I do for him. I really just want to find someone who is all for me and doesn't give me a reason to doubt or worry. Am I overreacting or do I have a point? I just feel like if you really like someone you dont need to continue to talk to others. I had expressed my desire to take things to the next level the next time we see one another yet he is still looking for other girls. Given that we have been speaking for so long I feel like he should be sure of me by now, and clearly he is not
